172's are great fun and the Flamer is a good choice. I'd take a guess the previous owner was on cs.net as it has the cup alloys, looks like silvervisions, aero wipers and the other 'often suggested' mods.

Why are the wipers a popular mod? Yeah he included old ones also.

Seen a few threads about them, not really a mod to be fair....they just seem popular on most cars I've seen recently.
I tried black mirror caps on my Flamer and try def look better red.

I dunno why it hasnt come with flame red mirrors? Seen others with them. Guess i will have to look around for someone breaking a flamer.

Absolutely adore Clio 172/182/200's mate - I'm considering one after I've moved on from the 106/Saxo scene.
Not seen too many Flame Red examples around but do like them - if I was to buy one, it'd have to be in Monaco Blue as I absolutely adore the colour - old man Griff had a Laguna V6 in that colour and it looked gorgeous in that colour IMO
Love the Turini's as well - they look so smart - definitely the best wheels for the car
I'd get the 3/4 plate on the front as well - it's only a small thing but seriously tidies the whole car up in my eyes. I'd lose the yellow fogs as well - not my cup of tea lol. Pretty sure alot of (if not all) new cars have aero wipers so think owners are doing it as it's a tidier and neater design - certainly made my 106 look better
Out of curiosity and if it's not a rude question, do you know how much was it to get the belts done?

A few better pics..
Feels like i am driving a merc compared to the saxo, the inside feels so spacious and luxurious, and to think it is only 6months newer than the saxo is mad.

How tall are you? Compared to a saxo they are ok, but I wouldn't call them luxurious or spacious haha. I find the seating position a bit iffy and the seats are a bit small like.

Oh yeah, compared to a saxo they're a real step up. I'm 5ft 11 but on the podgy side I guess, the bolsters make it feel rather snug for me if you know what I mean. Had to drive my brothers yesterday, they're ok for what they are. I'm used to big cars, drive a Volvo S60 so the 172 felt almost like poverty! But they're good fun I guess, but too small for me!

Aye, just be wary of niggly problems. My bro is 22 and wanted one for ages, finally got one and it's just had niggles that have annoyed him to the point he wants to sell up and just get a diesel again, albeit a 330d, but a diesel none the less! Can see why an 18 year old would think they are good though
