Default Mollie's Furio.

Hi guys, this is the progress of the Posi Furio we bought for my other half (mollie) last october.

We bought the car from a fellow saxp member (Baz) so some of you may recognise it.

Brief spec of when we bought it:

Standard 1400 engine with BMC enclosed CDA
Raceland 4-2-1, supersprint race pipe, piper back box.
Standard gearbox
OMP strut brace
Quick shifter
Lowered on Apex springs i think around 40mm
16" OZ Superlegeras - Continental tyres
fully colour coded
debadged boot
smoothed dimma grill into bonnet
widemout front bumper.
smoked headlights
106 gti mirrors
black spoiler.
bucket seats in front.

Havent really done much to it, had to remove the exhaust system because she was complining her ears were ringing lol. So i fitted a spare cheapo 4 branch i had in the garage, with brand new mk1 VTR underfloor cat and standard VTR centre with back box.
Ive put the standard VTR seats back in that were included with the sale, along with replacng mirros with posi capped saxo mirrors and fitted the blue spoiler back on.
Sold the BMC and strut brace and fitted a K&N cone and a spare strut brace i had in the garage.

Thats pretty much how it stands today.
when we bought it the front bumper had a bad colour match on the colour coding aswell as flakey bits same on rear bumper, so weve booked to have both bumpers fully resprayed in april!

Once thats done it should be looking very tidy!

Also just found this:

i think its meant to have a tab on it and camp by the coilpack bolt but what does it actually do? as it clearly broken off.

will upload more pics once we've have the bumpers resprayed.
also debating wether to get a cat back exhaust system, probably a kam racing stainless system but undecided yet.
Want to keep the cat in as i cba swapping over before MOT

Enjoy

yeah its not a bad little car, good enough for her anyway!
needs a new rocker gasket but apart from that its sound mechanicaly now.

ahh right, would that explain why the radio doesnt tune in properly?

Just gave the car a oil and filter change, and found a leak in the rad! looks to be from the bleed screw on passenger side, when it gets up to temp it starts slowly trickling from there, I think the rubber seal just needs cleaning and greasing up and the screw putting back in.

hopefully I will finish my rally car build soon so I can get this in the garage and get the bumpers off for paint!

and for anybody who is interested were looking to swap the 16" superleggeras for similar wheels in 15" ie, TD Pro race 1.2/superturismo/ultraleggeras etc.
