Cheers Al!
Engine is now apart! New cams going in, semi-race! Porting and polishing head again, new valve seals, new seatings and new seals.
New piston rings, balance crank to the new lightened flywheel (3.7kg) and some professional timing! Hoping to squeeze 210 bhp and rev limit of 9000rpm! Hope i manage!

Those roads would kill my 106... too bumpy.

Great vid clips though.

Looking quick as hell again!

210bhp and a 9k limit will be pretty awesome, very similar to AlexB's although his only had 190bhp it was a monster!

yes saw 5th in the short strait under the trees! the twitch was the limited slip diff. It pulls hard at times-its rather aggressive! The bumps don't help!

Yes in fact i did a lot of work on the engine since i last came on here. I did a lot of head work......studying the clearances and the right compression ratio. The cam shafts were properly timed this time round (a different tuner did them) after finding a discrepancy of 18 degrees on the inlet and 2 degress on the exhaust. So with the right timing, the head heavily ported and gas flowed, the increase in compression, new rings and the massive remapping on the dyno with high octane racing fuel the car was up to 180bhp at the wheel. (according to the chap who runs the dyno he calculates 18% losses so the bhp at the flywheel would be approx just over210bhp). The rev limit to be exact is 8200rpm but peak power is at 7800rpm.
Its a great car!
