Exclamation cone air filter. .

I put a big cone air filter onto my vtr mk2, attached it to the air box and it sounded very deep and ... rawwwy top end, but also made the car feel slower. .. was it just me or was it then too restricted?

My plan now is to buy a silicon pipe, and put in between the standard pipe that's bolted on the sub frame and the air box, the middle part of the standard pipe in the middle gets really thin and then throw in a performance panel filter.
I think that would be best. . Any thoughts?

Air filter on your airbox? If you want your car to be faster you need three air filters

Yeah I basically put an air filter onto the air box
I wondered why the fan was coming on so often goin through kfc drive thru, although it did sort out the timing on the car as normally my revs would either dip or rise on it's own.
I've put the standard pipe back on now anyways

3 air filters are the taking the piss there? :/
And I wasn't trying to make it faster, I simply noticed the standard air pipe gets really thin and restrictive and dont fancy an induction kit at stupid prices :/
