Default diesel rad conversion

anyone got any links and info to the diesel rad or any rad with remote header conversion

mainly need the info of where the pipes in the circuit go and if you need the plastic fitting from the back of the block where the rad pipes go

i know one return line comes straight from the rad to the top of the header... one looks as though it goes to the stat housing..the main return looks like it goes to the rear suggesting id need the plastic splitter from the diesel block for the extra pipe?

mucho appreciation

I cant really remember much how mine is but ive got a small pipe going to top of the radiator on o/s. Other going to the rear into a Y piece into original hose that has the bleed valve on.

Hope this helps lol

just been talking to gav.. way he does it the lower header tank return should be T'd into the lower rad hose to put the water back into the circuit and the over flow from the top of the rad goes back to the top of the header..so that sounds like all i should need and is alot easier then replacing the pipe of the back of the block!

cheers matey

Ye mines into the smaller pipe from the back of the block. Obv the plastic pipe on the block both hoses go into same hole. I got my header tanlk, pipes and rad from danny so just got it setup same as he had.

I just bunged the diesel rad in my AX, and ran a pipe from the upper bleed outlet to a Ford Ka header tank. Ran fine for lots of miles and with hard driving, no issues.

I worried initially about having the extra piping and shit but have seen other cars run an almost identical setup to the way I had mine - 207 thp for one - and its just an expansion/bleed point to be honest.

theres no real improvement mate tbh...if you havent already got one..go for the later "ordinez" radiator found on the 02 on vtr or vts

im just fitting as ive no choice..the xsi bay is tiny and the saxo rad just wont fit with the turbo bits as the header neck is in the way

but ill whack a guide up none the less

Oh okay, fair play and I don't have a rad ATM as just building a spare shell I have for a little track fun. What rad would you suggest? Don't mind spending a fair amount upto 100 is doable, if you got time I have a thread about an engine issue if you could give me some feedback I'd appreciate it.
