Which turbo? - Saxperience

Just a quick one, if I was to turbo my VTR, which turbo could i fit or could people recommend?
I'd be looking at running standard management, not looking for big power, 140-150bhp max, just fancy giving it a go but it will be on a budget so I was wanting to get a turbo off another car so was wondering what cars people get their turbos off!

If on a budget, mildly tuned 16v is the way to go, turbo is far more costly

I can't get a 16v engine for next to nothing, I can get turbo and all the turbo bits for pretty much nothing! And I get turbo noises

bwarrrrmmm pssshhhh haha just messing, but i can get a turbo from a scrappers so it's cheap, get it rebuilt by a mate for next to nothing and then fabricate all the extra bits for free or cheap

I would go for a GT17 for the sort of power your after, should be easily achievable.
