Yeh definitely!! As soon as I saw it, it was hard for me not to turn it down
It should be big enough to keep inlet temps down

Intercooler here
Got this through the post this morning - seems pretty big so hopefully should be cool on the inlet temp side of things.
Hopefully the radiator will be still okay behind this as it is quite thick (3") - will try and give the radiator as much room as possible and then mount both oil coolers behind each foglight - hopefully this setup should work.
Shouldn't need much silicon tubing to connect things up with the intercooler, will only need a small bit of tubing to go from Rotrex to intercooler, then maybe a couple of 45 degree silicon hoses with straight tubing and a 90degree bit to the TB.

Looks good mate.
Just hang the intercooler nice and low then lift the rad.If you run a descnt size fan it will pull enough air through for you.

Sounds like the lower panel between the chassis legs might get a bit of 'fettling' to fit these in. I suppose if i did away with the center part of the upper slam panel I could mount the radiator fairly high up, hrmmmmmmmmmmm
sounds like a plan

only a suggestion aswell but why don't you get a smaller rad made get some brackets welded onto the intercooler and mount them back to back with a 10-12" slimline fan seen it many times on boost aplications
that way you don't have to modify the chassis.
I'm sure an engineering firm could weld some brackets on it's only alloy. I could ask at work

I'm not sure how effective the radiator would be at colling if 75% of it was behind an intercooler?
I'll 100% be ditching the oem vts fan setup as it is bulky !! A pair of those slimline fans should be okay behind a radiator.
I'm not sure whether to go with some alloy radiator setup, or just go with a saxo diesel radiator - the diesel ones can be bought brand new for around £60 compared to around £300 for an alloy one made up.

Look at the old RS developments EVO mate. They used to run awesome intercooler/rad setups. The two cars were brought out by someone else but carnt think who. Have got a load of pics at home.

I'll have a scan online for them - if it's good enough for them it'll be good enough for me !
Edit - RS or RC developments ?

them evos are pure porn. you don't have to run a massive rad though do you ross?
surely a lesser size rad with a decent fan setup would be suffice?
look at the civic ek9's they run diddy rads man

Yeh that's what I'm thinking - some of those Evo's look to be running oem radiators with huge stonking turbo's mm's away from the radiator so my setup should be nothing tbh !!!
I think it would be tbh, just an oem diesel radiator with a pair of fans on it - should be more than enough!! Not like the UK is a hot climate
I'm sure once I get going with the welder, a few mounts will be easy to sort out!!

yea it should be ok.A descent sized oil cooler will look after it aswell. if you see a gmc rad pop up though grap it. Got one for £80 and it did seem brilliant.
