After seeing VTS_marv progress thread i fort its about time i got my a** in gear and made one up myself!
Passed my driving test on October 12th i think..And have had my eyes set on a saxo furio ever since i see them buzzing around!
So that day come where I found myself looking at a black furio y Reg March 2001.
The mileage was 49450 and was at £2100 so I took paxo along with me (saxp member) and gave it a once over! 3 things that I noticed at the time that kinda put me off was that an audio system had been used, it has a golf ball kinda dent on the roof (not really noticeable unless you go looking for problems) and no parcel shelf..... I didn’t want to get too far ahead of myself and look for a diamond buy as it is my first car!
So I started her up and she ticked over very smoothly! Next thing you know we’re talking money!
I got him down to £1900 which I think is a fantastic buy for a furio HPI clear. And I even got 2 weeks free drive away cover!
So I purchased the car!
The reason i went for a furio is because I have 2 friends with saxos 1 with a Mk1 VTR and 1 with a MK2 furio and the furio keeps up if not pulls up into 3rd so I was thinking hell with the 1.6 insurance stick with the 1.4.
Things that had to be done straight away!
Sort out that horrible interior! - Done
Get rid of the hubs! – Done Got myself some 106 rallye wheels! and put 185/55/14 tyres on! - sold the whees! back on standard steelys!
Smoke headlights – Done
Spray grill and chevrons mat black! –Done
Upgrade light bulbs -Done

So there she is! I will get some better photos of the sprayed grill when its a nicer day!
