I would hope it would be fun too, sensible driving untill sport button is pressed
Well ordered my first bits for the car
Double din headunit: JVC avx810. It not quite the spec i wanted but the thing i like about the JVC headunits is they are the only ones that allow the face to come off for security and after last time my audio was stolen i dont want to take any chances
With that i had to order fascia plate, loom adaptor and steering wheel control. Im hoping all the items dont take too long
Also got my eye on the dab unit to go with my headunit so I can have dab back in the car again

Well first parts of car have slowly taken place.
Removed the standard windscreen washer jets and replaced with the Insignia ones. Just give a fan spray and better coverage as the standard Astra ones were poor to say the least.
Then i got in with the Audio
First impressions are good of the JVC, maybe not the quality of others like Pioneer, Alpine. But the bit that sold it too me was the fascia is removable for added security features.
I have the surround for the head unit but i won't fit that until all my audio cables have been installed.
Next up was too change the front speakers. Removed the standards and put some Hertz HSK hi energy 165's in the front complete with sound deadening and its a world of difference even if it is on standard cables. Only downside is I've lost steering wheel controls
Next up is too install my power cables for amplifiers and to install my new speaker cable from the boot of the car too the front doors for the components.
Car wise its been fine other than the fact the other week i got an error code up for crankshaft sensor. This cost me £25 and was a doodle to replace. So I've got away with that one.
Ordered my service items. Some Fusch oil with new spark plugs etc. So thats next weeks task.
Also keeping my eye out for a 3" turbo back system.

Hadn't really done much with the car of late, so i thought id treat her to some xmas goodies.
First off was some Eibach lowering springs. Should drop the car about 20/30mm
Should get the car sitting a little nicer. Next thing that was bugging me was the fact that there is no water temp level, so i needed to gauges, after looking at pillar gauges etc i found a 3 gauge conversion that fitted the bill. Got the trim which I'm hoping Mark can spray piano black for me. Ordered my oil, water and boost gauges. So hopefully i will get them fitted sometime in the new year
Once finished it should look like this, but with my head unit.
Then lastly am hoping to SMD conversion to get rid of the horrible orange lights inside the car. Am thinking about a conversion to white

Nothing wrong with the type r tbh
I looked at them but wanted the newest shape but the fact the old one was better and I didn't want an old shape kinda ruled me out bud.
I'd hope your learner car wasn't a vxr

Well they quote a 30mm drop but depends on engine and vxr springs are already 10 or 15mm lower so it won't be massively noticeable but should help the wheels fill the arch more. Get my springs fitted on 27th so watch out for a few pics
