This is a really cool car!! Very impresses with the amount of work thats gone into it. The wire tuck in the bay is a work of art, some of the VW boys dont do it as well as that and they were the pioneers of it.
Where did you get the respray done? I want mine in either satin or matte white and I struggling to find a good sprayer for reasonable costs up here.

We're back!
Not a huge amount of pics to go with this post as, well I forgot to be honest, but we've been doing a little finishing off this weekend.
As my engine was out of a Peugeot I removed the badge off the coil cover earlier, but today I finally got hold of the replacment badge for the coil cover, and I think it looks amazing.
Next, we spent a lot of time devising and constructing a bracket to hold the throttle cable beneath the carbs so as to seem invisible, once again not many pics but...
Then wew finally got the hose clips on the coolant and induction hoses, filled it with coolant and oil, fitted an engine earth strap and set about a function check.
Here are the videos, sorry about the quality
CLICK ON THE VIDEO'S BELOW
Engine START!!!!:
Dials, gauges and lights:
Ancilleries:
Sill needs mapping and carbs set up, the throttle and clutch cable fitting to the pedal box and the brakes bleeding, but we're getting there!

Cheers mate, its getting hard not to just throw it together now toget it on the road, but we're staying strong and trying to keep the koalaty up.
Once the pedals are fully working it'll be being trailered off to atspeed to be set up, then we can FINALLY refit the BBS's, had almost forgotten about them with all the work on the bay!

I know what you mean! You know that you could get it on teh road in half the time by cutting a few corners here and there. And it would still look amazing, but with all the little details done properly it can look 1000 times better.
The BBS's make the exterior of the car for me as well. Looks totally different with them fitted to how it does on the bodyshop rims.
What pedal box is it you are running by the way? It is one of the Optimum Balance Products ones that are advertrised on ebay and the like?

Yeah, its an OBP one, but I would strongly recommend against getting one, or at least advise people think very carefully before buying one as its been an utter pain in the ass, needing huge amounts of work to fit and the pedals come almost entirely blank with no or poor instructions on how to fit cables to them.
Its taking a lot of initiative to to overcome all the problems its causing us! But we shall not be beaten lol

Going to go with ATSpeed, really need to get it booked in with them soon, if this week goes as planned I'll give them a call, get it booked in and arrange transport!
Scary stuff, should have a sweepstake on what power it'll get lol!
