just thought since i had a few hours free i would prep my car for a new heater matrix which meant out with the dash for the 3rd or 4th time
ive still not received the matrix and airbox but its on its way and i still need to get my hands on some blue or black electrical tape to tidy up my loom

components removed

dash out...... again

air box out..... anyone want it?

bare shell nearly

thats all for now. i will post up a vid of it running when i have the new heater matrix fitted and its been ran in a little again

comments...

thanks sam

little update

started tidying my loom up and got most of the way there for taping up just the wiring and seperating wires when needed but ran out of tape when another meter would have sorted the 1st layer

when i get a 2nd roll the loom throughout the car will be taped up aswell and hidden more

pics of progress so far

ok it doesnt look great so far but its only half way there, once i finish the 1st layer ill mock it all up and check it fits then see where i can tape 2 or more sections together to make it look neater

opinions on work so far?

little update - got back from uni today to do another little slice of work to my car

basically this was is still the process of fitting a heater matrix.... quite a mission!!

first i gave the new one a quick clean then assembled the slider parts and got those working nice and freely

then we removed the inlet, strut brace and induction kit to have enough arm room to get at the piping "easily"

then finaly removed my bodge job which was surprising ly strong but didnt fulfil the function i needed to (and produced pink socks )

tomorow or next weekend it will be time to:
1. fit the new heater matrix and airbox
2. refit all the engine bay side of things
3. dash and ancillaries
4. sand down drivers footwell and repaint with touch up
