Flames with flamer kits are rubbish and should certainly be left to bad american films.

flames and a back fire = 2 different things
i get backfire all the time all you do is in gear about 4k rpm or higher dip the clutch and dump it,
used to have a clio that while driving along you cut the ignition and put ur foot down while still in gear, then turn ignition back on and it goes tits fireing flames and backfireing haha

£3.6k for a load of bits and a lot more to go to get the gearboxes restored into something that works.

Well I could lift off the accelerator but once I found that the gearlever had the mechanism and it would pop flames I knew it had to be done
I'm a child, but a screaming normally aspirated engine with straight cut gears whining and flames popping out the rear really floats my boat.

Yes it can be done mate, but it is usually associated with chavy little pricks trying to impress their mates and 15 year old girls...

Stock manifold, and a decat was enough to make my 16v spit flames.
8v never did it though, even with an aftermarket manifold.

Astra flaming
It actual flames on every bang, but the camera doesnt pick it up...
