Looks like maybe the driveshaft was a combination of being low and a lot of power?

I think a mixture of 102,000 miles, lowered 100mm and 176hp my have contributed slightly to the premature failure of my driveshaft lol

Lol, it's lasted well then!!
Just going for an oem replacement? Are the shafts at much of an angle being that low? As the steering arms are angled a lot.

Such a good looking car mate really like what you have done. The stance is just brilliant, especially in the 5th pic from the bottom. Engine bay looks uber tidy as well. I guess you have relocated everything to the boot? 10/10 from me

Epic man, just keeps getting better. Shame about the D/shaft though! S'pose it's a small price to pay for owning such a sweet car

your supposed to peel the white bits off our stickers leaving just the text lol
hope the CV grease didnt attack the paint on your shaft! i blew a CV up on my car when it was on the dyno after i had just finished building it, makes such a horrible mess!!
does look the absolute ( . )( . ) 's on those wheels!!
glad you are happy with the power and the way the car drives, it sounds awesome too.
regards
colin.
also, if you want some proper photos done, speak to this man 07816988257 (Tony @ Global Tuning Connection) he will take some awesome pics and can more than likely get you in a magazine, particularily a magazine in france or belgium.

The driveshaft will be replaced with an oem one, if I this turns into a reoccuring problem I may go for some uprated ones.
As for the angle of the driveshaft, it's probably better being this low than a bit higher as the driveshafts actually point up, so they are probably at a similar angle (if the other way) to being lowered like 60mm.
I'd desperately like a decent photo shoot at a proper location as the car really doesn't come across in photos, wasn't even too impressed with the Fastcar ones (but I'm really not complaining)
The servo has been completely removed and the master cylinder is now in the footwell in a racing pedal box!
Atspeed, I was thinking about e mailing you as my car broke down due to consiqunce from your work! If you hadn't got it so well I'm sure the shaft would have been ok lol.
I know the white bits should have peeled off with the backing on the sticker but I really liked it with them, soleft them on, kind of gt40 style.
I'll give that guy a call, see what he says, would LOVE my car to get in a French or Belgian magazine, that would be amazing!
From the way that reply was written I guessed it wasn't Alan writing it lol!
Cheers everyone! The car, and a very drunken owner will be at USC this weekend if all goes to plan

did the shaft actually break, or just pull the inner out of the cv? it could be they are too short because of the angle they are running at. if you are using early type shafts, you could fit some spacers to force the driveshaft into the CV further OR make up some extended inner CVs.
i never broke a stock MA shaft on my car (except when an engine mount broke) even on some of our race cars running silly camber angles we never suffered, only time they broke was when they were pulled too far apart, and simply pulled out of the inner joint - so my guess is this is more likely to be your problem rather than power, although possibly a slight combination of the two.

Have checked the car over since to breakdown and have found that the engine steady has failed which has caused the engine to move to far, which in-turn pulled the inner CV apart on the N/S!
Have got all the parts ordered now so should be back on the road and going strong again!
The angle of the driveshaft isn't to bad, as I said they point up at about the same angle as they'd point down if it was lowered about 60mm I'd say! So shouldn't be a problem really.
I think this has just been caused by the engine steady failure
