wow nice thread, good luck with everything but that does seem like a lot of work and alot of ££££. Why not cut the time and go for something other than a saxo lol? Good luck though, no offense x

Well if we're being realistic/money conscious, I'd rather turbo a VTS than VTEC it. Amount of work/fabrication/money wise anyway.

Also a Vtec saxo won't take a high speed impact as well as a Civic

cus its not what i want, i love my saxos and i loved my delsol and its kind of a sentimental thing to me to have this engine in the vtr, like keeping a part of my rex going
been mulling it over and its not as bad as everyones making out or as expensive,
i wouldnt be doing it for a while, but i will do it eventually
its not about power for me, its about having slightly different and again the sentiment thing yeh its been done before but theres only about 5 frenchies with it about, but thats not many in my eyes
people telling me not to just makes me want it more, and people taking the piss

Do it, it's your car Nicole
i think it will be an awesome little project.
Although, it would be cheaper to do something like VTS conversion or VTR turbo.
We need more people on here like you, being different.

I thought delsol engines were 140bhp and being honest jeffchiz standard brakes are wank unless you run decent pads and disks

I actually thoguth was a higher bhp engine.
Would recommend if Ben does decide to mish the Vtec conversion it may be worth doing it with a higher bhp engine?

so all of this hassle but yet you can turbo your VTR on a weekend and it would fly past the delsol VTECH thingy. Good luck with whatever you choose to do lol (*nutter!*)
^^ - yea get a Honda Prelude 2.2VTECH engine whack it in the old saxo now were talking!

but its enough for me?
you guys are the ones constantly mocking me for having 'too much power' and it suits me, i loved my del sol, it was quick yeh, the only thing i didnt like was how big it felt compared to the saxo, couldnt nip round roundabout liks i used too etc. so in my eyes its my perfect car having best of both,
and i want to keep a bit of my delsol alive and i have a perfectly good engine so why not?
i dont want a car for dragstrips or track, just one that i love and im proud of and how many can say theyve got a vtec saxo?
if ive got the mounts and weve done it once, itd be easier at a later date to put a more powerful vtec in, but my delsol engine will do me fine
why does no-oneeee inderstand lol
