What you'd go for RE xxx's if you were minted! lol, I cant really justify stretching to that sort of money bud! just seems a waste...
Looked through Talkaudio but best I saw was a cerwin Vega Stroker (v2) but its too much SPL and no SQ... I want something musical. Maybe I should just get an L5 or an L7
Amp runs down to 2 Ohm stable at 1400 RMS but im thinking on getting an L5 and running it at 2 Ohms so it doesnt kill my battery! what do you think?

Duel 1 Ohm is too low, i need duel 2... otherwise id of considered it!
Cerwin Vega Strokers are my favourite subs tbh! They sound like they are gonna jump out of the box and eat you!
Battery is getting changed as soon as I can find a filter that actually allows me to use the rest of my battery tray!
If you see a Kicker L5 or L7 anytime soon in 15" can you give me a shout as I think thats what im gonna get in the end!

i thought you amp is 2ohm stable for 1400rms? you can wire a d1 sub to 0.5 ohm or 2ohm

2 Ohms = 850
1 Ohm = 1400
I knew d1 wouldnt be any good for my amp Need d2 really but im considering getting a d4 ohm kicker L5 and running the amp at 2 Ohms that way my battery wont drain so quick...
either that or go for d2 kicker L7 and wire at 1 Ohm but suffer serious battery problems forever more

going in the back of my 1.1 saxo yo!
already got 2 in there, ported box tuned to 35 ... but im unsure whether or not to put all 4 in one enclosure or make a 2nd box the same. i get all my advise from Gareth lol.
unless you know anywhere i can get some Specs to make an encloser for 4?
once its all done, i want a db reading, aint a clue what it would be hitting though
alot of people have said things about upgrading the alternator as the 1.1 arnt all that, but you got alot of parallel juice running by the look of things.
im going to need to do my Big Three some point soon first i would assume?

ohhh that sucks how come your only going for one woofer? id try get the hole 1400rms out of the amp you shouldnt have much problem running off a decent sized front battery with tb3 ect

sweet another 1.1 boomer in the south west i used to have 2 gt5 off 1100rms tuned to 35hz and i hit 143.3dB. you wont be able to fit 4x 12,s in a saxo boot but you could do a decent no wall install if you dont mind getting rid of the back seats.
if your on sss speak to matty he will design you a decent box for them. if not sign up to www.streetbassers.co.uk and someone on there will be able to help design a decent box
the alts on the 1.1s are 80a same as the vtr ect with the 2 big yellows the car only drops down mid 11s with the 3 big yellow is drops to low 12s im running 3300rms i no matty has the same amp as scuff old mono and his running 1 big yellows and only gets drops down to mids 11s and thats without the big 3 completly done. the big 3 is the 1st thing id do on any install on a saxo as the standerd wiring is only 8gauge so tb3 in 0gauge would be a defo need

i took the back seats out when i lowered her, so thats not a problem, in the middle of drawing up plans for the false floor, and trying to get enough deadening to cover the seats and boot pan!
143 dB from only two? i would be happy with that from all 4 *fingers crossed for a decent reading when finished then!*
few questions
where did you get the big yellows from?
ive seen tb3 kits on audio sites, anywhere you can say to get it from?
and i assume you are going to be at Fast car end of may ?

kl could build a very decent box with the back seats out. i got sound deaderning off ebay for cheap. what i would do is build a flush floor covering the boot and seat well then get matty to design a box for the 4 gt5.s but get him to design is so you can have to big yellows in the box .
yeah the 143dB from 2x gt5s in the boot and i hit 148dB from the 6x gt5s in a no wall box but the design of the box was crap so could of possibly hit more. id think you would be hitting just over 145s with 4x gt5s off 3k
i got my big yellows from a bloke off talk audio best bet would be ask scruff if he can get hold of any for you.
the big i would just buy some 0gauge wire and some 0gauge terminals works out cheaper
yeah im going to be at the torbay cruise
