Well i started making the lighting panel today

This ring will go round the subs and the leds will be hidden underneath it.

I still need to cut out the middle bit from this bit of wood for the ports.

Should i retrim the lighting panel black to go with the rest of the box or red?

well been out side all day cutting away thinking about how im going to achieve the ideas i have in my head finaly got the panels the way i wanted them. still havent decided weather to use some red carpet or not think il trim it in black 1st then once i get bored il change it to red. heres some pics of how its looking at the moment routing the the gaps for leds and wiring will start tomorrow i really aint looking forward to it lol

how it will look when i need 45hz tuning

todo list for tomorrow is
:fiberglass the 25hz ports into the panel
:router a flare on the ports
:fix the rear windows
:try finaly finsih the door pod then retrim the door card
:sound deadern under the carpet
:finish off rear window trim panel
: plus try sort out the rear lighting

do the carpetting black imo! red might be a bit much? or maybe red in the middle only??? or is that what you were suggesting?

Considered fibreglassing round corners inside the box to eliminate dead spots? might give you a tiny amount more on the spl meter, plucking at straws but its proven to work, what difference it will make though might be minimal!

did think about doing the middle red and the outside black but the red and blue leds wont show up as nice as thay do on the black carpet

have thought about fiberglasssing the corners ect but i need to keep the install so it can be put in another saxo if need be so fiberglass is a no go but i have been thinking about putting some rounded bits of wood in the corner that can be screwed in.

wood would work just as well but just a bit heavier, suggested Fibreglass as I know your trying to keep the weight down!

well had work today so didnt get as much as i wanted done. toke me 3 hours do get the marking up done for the leds was going to be using 150ish leds in the wall but i manage to cut that down to around 100 every line on the board will be an flushed led. got to router out all the lines tomorrow.

started on the port system too need to fiberglass them in tomorrow
then carpet the board hopfuly it should slide in and out with ease but not have any air leaks
