Received and fitted my raceland induction today, took about half hour, makes engine bay look alot smarter and fills big gap above gearbox, need to get the green filters though as the red one (i think) makes the engine hesitate under load.

Looks good mate enjoyed reading this
How are you finding the 1.1 gearbox then? Mine is making a few weird noises in 3rd gear and obviously the 1.1 box's are cheap as chips

yeah box isnt that bad got it for £70, i like it when going for 0-60 but its a killer on motorways, rarely on them though, got a trip to nurburg planned for january next year so need to change box for either VTS/R as im not sure the box would cope with 2 days of track use lol

How high does it rev on the motorways then?
Gonna be a pain here but what speed does each gear top out at?

on motorways its about 4k for 80 mph, gears are roughly top speed from 1st:25-30 2nd:50 3rd:70 4th:95 5th: is ive been told about 120-125 but fastest ive been with this box is a touch under 100 as no need to be going that quick rely (although thats contradicting myself considering on first page theres a pic of car going 130 )

Thankyou, yeah now I look back I think it was a bad idea the grille, but yeah I'm just keeping it subtle and hoping to have it on the track soon and considering I'm shit at cleaning cars it didn't come out too bad, cheers again

Right recieved my 266mm GTI brake upgrade today Big thanks to Mikol for the calipers and pads and Kam racing for the discs cheers guys
Fitting is straight forward althouth didnt change the hoses as the ones i got had a different valve end to the ones on my car still all ok though
Was worried wether the brakes where going to fit in the Rallye steels as i heard if you have inner wheel weights they will hit, thankfully i havent and as you can see its close
Would really recommend the brakes make a huge difference over the standard shit brakes, and hopefully with some better pads and discs front and rear will be even better, Cheers Comments????

Fuck me thats close ha, are they only 14's?
I remember on the Corsa you had to get a bigger steelie because the brakes were 260mm and the 14's wouldn't go over
I might be getting that 1.1 gearbox sooner than i think btw, noticed a lot of oil dripping out of mine today

Ah that's rubbish - they were absolutely mint when they left me, I even gave them 2 1/2 days to dry!!
I blame the DHL man.
In any case, glad you're happy with them and sorry to keep you waiting on them for as long as I did.
Cheers
(Oh, and PS your brake pads were a bitch to fit haha )
