Just much prefer COD. Far less stressful to play and easier to vent anger whilst murdering people.

I totally understand lol. When i first played i was wtf!? wheres my team at and whats the objective. I was on a rock with Gedi (from CS) all of my team are around us more or less, next i know some cunt knifes me in the throat!! now it happened like 3 times in a row by the same person. I dont usually get game rage, never had it in the COD series and i nearly smashed my controller and chucked my PS3 lols (second time since playing this game) because they literally appear from nowhere at times. im out the way and i still get knifed. I do like the game alot and im still getting used to it but COD is my home tbh.

Totally a game to play as part of a squad. I racked up 22-3 the other night, purely because my mates and I always play to cover one another. There were three snipers camped up lying in a road trying to shoot my mate, so he played the bait while I flanked round; I knifed them all, starting from the back and walking forward chibbing them one by one
It is pretty hard on your own tbh.

Isn't that 90% of the point of the game though? The online play??
Let me paint you a picture yesterday. I have a stressful day and come home to play some Xbox. I have a few mins with you then my brother shouts from 5 rooms away downstairs "TOM" that's all I hear. I then get the same from mom. Whilst this is going on I'm trying to eliminate enemy scum whilst in an uncontrollable helicopter.
They then shout again so get up and go to the top of the stairs where they both need my help desperately. Mom because she can't turn on the Wii and Ben needs a hand with a motorbike he's fixing.
I get completely pissed off, loose my rag, kick my xbox's on button, throw my controller on the floor and fix the bike then turn the wii on.
Then I went for a drive to cool off.
Everyone wanted my attention at the same time and i flipped basically

The helos are way harder to control, but one of the guys we know seems to be able to pilot them no prob. Its a good thing though, helos in BFBC2 were nigh on indestructible except with another helo; if you held the sticks a certain way, the helo would spin in a large circle too fast to be able to shoot, while still raining down rockets and gunfire on everyone below.

Im pretty sure whoever buys it, will have to purchase a new online pass from the PS Store/Xbox marketplace, its like £8 or something.

Red/orange is enemys, blue is team mates, and green are in your squad and you can spawn on them if you are alive...
Im loving the game myself.. Taken a while to get really rolling on it.. I think the choppers are pretty simple to control once you have had a go.. I crashed my 1st one in seconds, now i can swoop and attack, and land pretty much anywhere

For any noobs, remember to highlight enemies for team-mates, by pressing the back button while aiming at them. That puts a red triangle above their head and points them out on the minimap. Makes a huge difference.

Also, to rack up some decent points, use anti tank mines as an engineer when you unlock them.. It takes 2 to blow up a tank, so find narrow openings, and lay all 3 in a line... 100 points for disabled, 200 for destroyed, and 100 for each person that dies.. So you could be looking at an easy 500 for a tank with 2 people.. Plus when you die, they stay there..

The blinding from torches is the shittest thing ever. Broad daylight, someone 50feet away shines a minimaglite at me and Im blinded. Sure in a tunnel, or coming into a building, but in the open? Fix your shit EA.

They dont blind me out in the sun unless its point blank.. You get abit of light at you, but thats because its still at your face, and with the power on them lights, it would do it abit.. The laser is a bastard in the day light, but thats real, a lazerpen to they eye hurts day or night..
As for unlocking it, you have to use just one gun for so long, Some guns may not get it, but all guns on the engineer get it... You can see somewhere how many kills it is to unlock things.. If you go on the battlelog website, it shows you what you need to unlock stuff.. Then you just go to my soldier and equip it

Got to admit i had a bit of a chuckle ad the cod fanboys finding this hard
I was also amused when i was playing this yesterday to hear 2 americans complaining it was 'to realistic' with the buildings blowing up and the lighting/size of the maps... i thought that is what people want..or am i wrong?
Anyways, I LOVE this game, have been a fan of BF since i played battlefield 2: mc on original xbox. Was very alike with the size of the maps and vehicle/gun choices.
Myself, I found the best way to learn the jets/helicoptors was to change the controls in the options menu so when you move the stick up you go up instead of down lol. Also im glad the game types have stayed the same with a few added extras.
In my opinion this craps all over COD, and im not even going to bother getting the new one. That can be on the x-mas list, but still it will probs be left in the case!
Anyone who fancies a game add my GT: oO StrobeZ Oo

Had 9 of my mates on the other night, so 10 in total. We got divvied up into 3 squads, and made sure each squad had a medic and a support so that we had med kits and extra ammo. Because we were all communicating and playing correctly, we finished a game of conquest with a score of 240-0 LOL Highest score on our team was someone who got 41kills and 1 death. Suppression with extra ammo ftw!

I'm really not that patient or tactical to be honest. I'll normally come online for half an hour or so with a mate and just have a laugh. Battlefield made me really fucking angry lol so I traded it in last night. I'm not good enough at FPS for it, I'll stick with my MW3 n00b game

working together is the key, even in pairs. Its really easy to get a good game going with just two of you. Run and gun isnt really doable, as you cant run at someone in BF3 while theyre shooting you, survive the volley of bullets and then knife them unlike a certain other game lol. Youll get spotted then everyone will want to perforate you.

I wish i had picked up BFBC2 earlier, not had it that long but loved it first few nights i was continually mauled, the kill cam not revealing really where they were and i was like where the fuck is everyone, after a few weeks on conquest i started playing rush, never looked back.
BF3 is an epic game IMO, has some really neat touches like the fast jets ect some of the new perks are ace, finely detailed. its ONLY faults are the audio between you and you're mates, at times the amount of x you need to hit some before they die and occasionally you die spawn and get killed straight away but more than happy to live with with minor stuff like that. I loved sniping on BFBC 2 it was epic on BF3 its way more difficult with the breath ect. Now ive the 12x zoom its just as good if they had just left that the same as BFBC 2 .
Got to agree Gab even if you and you're mate are assult and a medic/ medic engineer. can work really well even if you lose you can still end up decent score and decent K/D
