Well, some of you have had a few days.. I bought it yesterday, what are you thinking?

Really good online, iv not played the campaign yet, but im loving online.. Although the helicopters are hard to fly, compared to BC2, and the fact that when you go into 3rd person view its on the side abit annoys me...

Jets are pretty cool to blast around in, although, dont play as big of a role as i thought they would.. Thought there would be a map with an aircraft carrier or something, fighting over an island..

Not as many cars or things as BC2 either, like quads or anything, and iv not really seen any big fixed machine gun points..

Also, the fact that when you unlock new guns, you have to go through and unlock all the sights and stuff again for it is abit of a barstool...

There is a map where you start on an aircraft carrier and fight over an island. Just no jets, just helicopters and boats.

Theres also plenty of fixed rocket launchers all over.

Fricking loving this game! Anyone that hasn't bought this is missing out. COD... rest in piece!

Theres plenty of fixed launchers, but alot of the good defence used to be made with machine guns mounted in windows, so you could get that extra bit of power and range against a sniper..

Yeah as Jay said, the map where the attackers start on an air craft carrier is cool, and im pretty sure you do get a jet on it mate (?)

Only problems with the game are the sniper rifles, can i fuck use them, and hit detection, pisses me right off laying a clip off an assault rifle into an enemy, for him to turn round and 2 shots with a pistol lay me out!

Well, had a good play last night. Played Rush which I don't usually play so go abit more vehicle use.

There's still a good variety, quads, tanks, buggies, heli's, jets, boats etc... The jets are fricking awesome! Had a bit of fun, got shot down but ejected first, parachuted out and managed to rocket launch the bastard that shot me down lmao

Also played some new maps. They are truely huge yet you can always find some action. Of far away. Only map that I'm not overly fond of is the highway one. Love the rest.

Most of all though I'm loving the destruction. You can tell the COD players from the BF players as they think they're safe behind walls. How wrong! You can make awesome vantage points just by taking abit of the wall out.

I haven't had an issue with snipers. Remember, you have to fire ahead of them due to the time it takes for the bullet to reach them.

Only annoyance is that I only seem to get Vehicle Disabled bonus and kill "assists" when blowing up vehicles. Surely it should be a kill?

Truely amazing game!

Unbelievable the amount of times ive disabled tanks and got assists, instead of the kill, but AT Mines are mint for tanking out tanks completely!

I thought it was happening to me, but my mate pointed out that scumbags were jumping out on first hit and by the time I reloaded they had sprinted away.

I cant wait for MW3, running about the map at full sprint slashing people instead of using guns!

Thats because you get a hit and disable it, so he cant drive away, but can still fire, then someone else is getting the last hit and blowing it up... it looks blown up because its not moving and on fire, but you actually have to plough another round into it to get the kills..

Unless you fully blow them up they can be repaired aswell. Its good if you blow one up with a few people in it!

I'm very new to battlefield after being a cod fanboy. I find it difficult finding jets etc on maps and I'm still getting used to everything but happy with it so far.

i felt lost when i first played it, than went totally off it as the games were boring. so i did tdms and its quality. beastin atm.

Not keen on tdm as the maps are cut down to a smaller version. Some of the maps are massive! Great for sniping.

id say tdms are a similar pace to MW

I play rush, its good with bombsites, you know there will always be enemys around that area, and gives you something to actually attack and defend..

Anyone played co-op.. Weapon points and things add towards your online points.. To get sights and that..

Tip! If you want a jet, look at the spawn menu. They show up below the spawn points if there's one available.

Safe to say, I suck in the air haha I'm awesome with anti-aircraft launchers though!

My view is this. Battlefield seems to be for the adult gamer. Needs patience and you can't just run around like a lunatic.

Call Of Duty is for kids that just want to run around like idiots and spray everything that moves.

I can see why people can get lost in Battlefield, the maps are huge.

As for helicopters, use the left stick to turn left and right like a racing game, right stick (up and down) to go forwards and backwards and the left stick (left and right) to lean. However, I don't lean, I only use left/right on te left stick to keep it level.
