I don't like middle lane drivers, but I remember driving in the slow lane and the ruts were so bad in a small car that I had to revert to the middle lane. It was an exception but it can happen.

How ever, on them rare occasions when i have enough fuel to drift into the outside lane, sometimes if some cock is right up my arse, ill happily sit @ 70 mph, because that is the legal speed limit.

So, you totally agree, then go on to completely contradict yourself..?
I hope you get undertaken when you do that then, just making things more dangerous, man up.

Yes i do, and?
So your hoping other driver's do something, to make it MORE dangerous?
This can do two ways...
Speed limit is there for a reason. Fact of the matter is 95% Of people travel TOO close on motorways. Fact. This really annoys me when people sit yards off my bumper, especially when they do it back -_-

But on a three lane motorway the middle lane is also classed as a fast lane. So sums that up!

Taxi drivers after midnight are real pricks... fecking love giving them abuse. Especially as they think they own the road at that hour. I'm sure Danny VTS know the a453 quite well... feckers on there do my nut in.
As for middle lane hoggers, under take them. Havnt got time for that.

undertaking is legal aslong as the person is doing below the speed limit and you dont do it dangerously
its a loophole that was created for traffic situations

undertaking is only illegal, as said, if you do it for gain..eg you swoop out then immediately back infront
or if your dangerous in the motion you do it
if you cruise out at safe speed...past the car your underaking..keep it going a bit longer, and safely move back over you should be fine

If the road is completely empty I sit in the middle lane incase something brakes/pops, gives me room either side, but if there is other traffic I follow highway eticate

Exactly this. There is no law specifically outlawing undertaking. It's covered under driving without due care. So do it sensibly not aggressively and you'll be fine.
If I come onto an otherwise quiet motorway and someone is in the middle lane doing 60mph, obviously I don't go across into lane 2 then lane 3 just to overtake. Just do 70mph down lane 1. They frequently get the hint.
