No if you get replacement dials it will show the milage of the car the dials were origionaly on. However its not much of an issue cos an MOT garage can tell how many miles you have done without looking at the dials, its all in your ECU. However if you want the dial milage resetting to show your cars current milage you have to take it to a specialist to get done cos its a tricky job.

PM ryanmt He does it all, resets ECU's, Dial Changes and also does the SMD light conversion which is what you are going to achive

Good luck mate

You should be able to do it on mk1 dials mate all your doing is replacing the current smd's for the ones you have bought. However you need alot of pacients and a steady hand. As for the T50 Screw you can easiely get them I work for Maplin's and they do loads in a set, just go to your local maplins and ask for the screwdriver for a T50 screw, it normally comes under the security tool set and your looking at no more than £8 for it. Are you sure its a T50 because i dont think torx screws comes as 50's its normally 8's or 10's? If in dout look in the saxo haynes manual or you car manual

Hope this helps

doesn't work on Mark 1 dials as they use bulbs not LEDs and use filters to achieve the colour instead of coloured LEDs.

steve can you per chance just change the colour of the dial from white to another colour but keep the origional green led lights. so in effect your only swapping from white to blue, etc. im meaning the part dont know what its called but it has ur mph, rev numbers and fuel and engine heat. could you just simply change that?

2 tips -

1 - use 2 spoons to lever off the dials, less chance of damaging the face and the stepper motor this way

2 - once you have the clocks stripped down put them back in the car and light them up, then mark each led with a marker pen as its lit. That way you know exacly what to change

I have a few sets of dials and keep blue and white SMD leds so if anybody wants theirs doing or wants to buy some pre-done let me know.

I can also sort the mileage to match too.

The screen would change color, you just replace the LEDs behind the display. Quite easy to do
