You're doing right flogging the PT30 mate. I had a PT40 in mine which made 118bhp at the fly, the cam still felt too 'mild' though! PH3 should be ideal.

I originally got the PT30 as i was just going to cam it, remap etc and leave it at that, then after a talk with my mate he got me thinking about the Rallye inlet! He's still trying to talk me into getting a PH4, but I'll settle for the PH3!
What did you get at the wheels bud? I'm hoping with the inlet, PH3, map, de-cat, manifold and port\polished head I'll hit 120 and with a bit of tweaking with the cam hopefully a tad more

Awesome car, i fancy doing something like this too. I reckon one of thoes smoothed bonnets with no grill would look very stealthy on your monor. Keep it up!

Cheers mate! I wouldn't go for a smooth bonnet, purely because i dont like them but I am thinking of getting a spare bonnet and getting my uncle who was a welder to make it into a bad boy bonnet to make it more mean looking, as the only ones you seem to be able to get for the Mk2 have the gastly vent jobbys on them

Yea the bad boy bonnets look great on all VT's IMO. Nice wide stance they give the car just sometimes more costly than theyre worth.

Yeah the bad boy is something that will quite possibly happen, just want to get the Rallye inlet and cam sorted first as im sure you all can understand!
Little Update..
Well two new little additions to the motor since christmas, Can you spot them? e-cookie to the first person The pictures should make it easy though
Again the car is filthy, but like many i hope, I'm not going out in this weather to play with water!
Got a few more little mods to go on, but I'm waiting for it to warm up a little before i venture outside to add them!

A shade over 120bhp at the fly is definitely do-able mate. Imo, get it on the rollers and have someone set up the timing for you, then decide if you want to go for a remap or not.
Mine made 95.6bhp ATW. Peak torque was 119ft/lb at something like 3200 RPM.

Love this car. It looks so badboy. Want to turn mine into a stealth machine now. Getting anthracite vtr's though and couple more different little touches.

I'm going to have get a remap running a PH3, the very poor idle i dont think i could live with tbh
I'm liking the peak torque at 3200 though!

Was thinking about smoked fogs aswell as headlight or may keep my trackday crosses on my fogs lol. Wind deflectors and smoking the clear part on the standard rear lights. What you think? Just want it to look really stealth just I ain't having tinted windows.

It won't idle lumpy at all mate. Mine idled no different from standard, 99.99% sure the PH3 will be the same.
The profile isn't as wild as you'd think imo. If I ever found myself chasing good power from a VTR again, I'd go for a Kent PT41, uprated valve springs, standalone ECU, bodies etc.
