Hello there chaps!!
I really have not found the time to update the progress thread, but seem as I’m doing nothing i suppose i will!!!
Been a bit of a rough patch tbh!!! Had a HG test and it came out fine!! Come to the conclusion it may need a new temp sensor!!
Went down to Toms last Saturday and got the passenger driveshaft replaced as it was squealing like a bitch!! I can still hearing a grinding from that area, so i think it could quite possibly be strut bearings!! It’s not bothering me that much atm, and with breakdown cover i really cannot be bothered until march time Ha!
Other than that!! I have purchased myself some unused PH3 Newman cams with followers for £150 absolute bargain imo!! And i have also ordered up on a few other parts that will arrive next week these are:
Water pump
HG kit 1.4mm
Cam belt kit/tensioner
Idler
Head bolts
Throttle bodies are now being thrown into the equation, but it all depends on the company bonus....!!
And over the next week or so i should have the SS exhaust system fitted
So there is a little update for you!!
No point in me taking pictures of boxed up cams? lol or a dirty car!! Will update this next week when parts arrive!!
Queries and your thoughts welcome!!

Just take it easy!! Going from a 1.4 to a cammed vts will be a big jump - and seeing as you wrote your old saxo off due to speed, just go easy!
Plans sound awesome though, the Predator is cool.

Thanks for your concern ross!!
It was about 5 months back now!! I have learnt a lesson, its just a shame it took such a big smash up for it to sink in!!
I have calmed down allot on the roads now, and have since been on an improvement course!
Well i just want to set the car up for some sprints next summer and maybe a few track days with Tom!

No probs, just the vts looks sweet and wouldn't like to see it in one of these crashed saxo threads that have appeared recently!!
So thinking about TBs? Would be good to get a good suspension kit on it and some sort of uprated brakes! Help it stop as quick as it'll go!

Yh i agree with you on that mate, there has been allot of incidents lately!!
Erm to be honest with you between now and march is preparation for the power, so that does include brake upgrade and getting it to handle better!!
But at the moment my brakes are fine and i don’t see the point in lowering the car in stupid weather conditions if you understand me! I mean with all the rain and black ice appearing!! I cannot wait till next summer though!!

Ideally i want to aim for 150 bhp without bodies, and 160+ with!! But i don’t know whether i can justify the best part of a grand for another 10bhp?
Throttle bodies are now being thrown into the equation, but it all depends on the company bonus....!!

the boides add alot more than max bhp it more mid range torque and power you get with them!
also 150 on cams? more 140 - 145 ish imo mate,
and why are you going to use a 1.9mm head gasket? when standard is 1.4mm? and with N/A you want more compression so going bigger will make the compression less!!

Tbh andy, that spec kit was forwarded to me by someone who thinks they know what they are talking about, and after speaking to Sparco tom and Luthor its the wrong kit!
Luthor also said that 140 is about right for that spec!! He also said that people that claim they have 150-160 are lieing or are on inacurate dinos!

I do see your point, but when all the shit is covering your reg plates and windows i just had to do it, was only a quick wash, no polish etc
