It's so smooth, its unreal Lol.
Yeah I was pissing about with it earlier, trying to get it to sit in a 'user friendly' position.
I can get it sitting slightly pointed upwards, without it looking to out of place.
I no what you mean about the wrists aswell, I had it sitting flush , so it pointed down slightly and it was a right pain in the arse to try and use.. Plus, you can't see what buttons you're pressing.
I've got a sheet of C/F knocking about, so I may try and conjure up a bracket with that If I get bored.

I know..really bad isn't it.
Bare in mind It hasn't moved in 4 months, but still manages to get filthy
Haha.
I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow while I can. It's not actually that far off fitting snuggly. Just a bit of trimming needed and it should wedge in quite nicely.

Got a couple of pictures of my "home-made" door pulls..
They'll do nicely until I've got the windows out, and Polycarbs in. Then I can get around to getting some Carbon door cards.
Wheel & Airbag off... Boss on.

Haven't updated this in ages.. A bits happened since anyway.
Firstly, I never finished painting the car in chalkboard paint the last time I painted it. So, i bought some more and started painting the rest, too find out it was a different shade of black/grey. I sanded the car back to remove the old paint, and this gave me an excuse to debadge the rear also.

I repainted the car, with the chalkboard paint..which this time, is actually nearly black..rather than the grey it was before.
I'm going to repaint or get the car done professionally in the coming months in a Gloss primer grey colour, as seen on 911 SC's. I've got the paint here, I just need a decent compressor and such. It's not urgent so I'm not bothered at the moment.
I also painted my boot floor, I'll do it properly at some point along with the rest of the interior.
Got my Bucket seat in, 1 of them anyway. The other is being retrimmed on the Bolsters as it's ripped quite badly.. So I'm using the other atm which still has rips in, but not too bad.
Took the car for it's Mot today.. and it FAILED ..Bastard. Albeit, not drastically bad for a car this age and such.

I took it to a friends garage for the MOT and he said it's not that bad.. A couple of hole's need welding, One on the offiside inner arch-drivers footwell. about and Inch across. and the other is the Rear arches.. ahem (Which I Fibreglassed & nearly got away with it.) Bastard.
The rest is the brakes, which have been a pain since the start.. The hoses are twisted somehow, time to fit my braided lines then, and the handbrake isn't up to scratch. I've had enough of working on the brakes & I don't have a welder. But my mate at the garage informed me of a farm owner that does Mot work and repairs stupidly cheap, so I've dropped it off there and should have an MOT in a week or so.
Ed.

Update. Yaaaay.
MOT is done
Had a bit of welding done for the Re-test today, and the Brake hoses were twisted and such. Nothing major.

Stopped for a couple of photo's on my way home through the Hills..
Can get my front shocks and lowering springs on now also, May aswell do it now as the front springs were the one and only advisory anyway.
Get it taxed on my next payday also, until then its back in the garage to finish painting it , re-paint the Compomotive's and do a few more little bits and shizz.

Ignore the tape on the wing mirror..it was there to keep it secure while the tigerseal set.

This looks like my old car so much!
Just a quicky, you didn't chalkboard your bump strips? You'll start to regret that, people like drawing on EVERYTHING when your car is chalkboard! I had people even attempt to draw on my back lights (they were tinted) and my actual tinted windows?!
Looks quality though, I miss my chalky

I took it to college today and it got abused with the chalk. People were trying to draw on the windows. Haha.
Yeah, I went over one by accident..so ended up going over them all.
I fancy a colour change in the summer, I've been looking into a gloss primer grey, but need to get a decent compressor 1st.

Have have you not been pulled for that front plate!?
I love it, I think the chalk and the lumi wheels are an awesome mix. I used to love the drawings on the car! Once you leave chalkboard, you'll regret it man!

I got pulled for it this morning LOL. Just blagged my way out of it saying I hadn't got round to getting a proper one yet as the place wanted my V5 etc.
Ahh yeah, the wheels have started to grow on me abit. I did the 2 pink and yellow a while ago, because I couldn't decide what colour I wanted..so they'e stayed, and I still can't decide which I like best. :/
I'm gonna try and get another set of Compo's and do them all white..and have the other set lumi'
Good point aswell actually, the chalk is the only thing I can keep myself entertained with.. Hmm.

Our meets used to literally entail drawing over my car! Kinda miss it a lot now...
I really like the lumi pink to be honest! Matt paint and lumi wheels go well together, regardless of what the OEM+ boys say. Its your car, enjoy it.
Yeah, I had problems finding a plate that I could put on the front of mine, the small square was the smallest that I could legally get away with. Would have just run with it in the window, but the Essex police are hot as fuck on plates
So you dropping an S lump in? Thats going to be cool I'm reallly realllllly tempted to chalk my S again, but go Euro and Chalk.. haha. Either that or matt the paintwork off properly and just have a matt car - I love how they look!
Its good to see another chalkboard saxo taking the reigns and carrying on the torch though! Good luck to you

Canny thread. Il be honest, like most of my posts.
I like it all apart from the chalkboard, it just looks tacky mann, as with the wheels. Fair enough its different and all the jazzy stuff. Id just get sick of folk drawing on my motor.
When are you getting it sprayed in the Grey? iirc.

Yeah, S lump will be going in at somepoint. I've got an Engine loom and Ecu ready, Just need to find a decent lump to go in it, and some time where I won't need the car for abit.
I'll happily take control of the chalkboard elite for you Lol.
Iye John, I understand what you mean.. sometimes I look at it and think it looks tacky and shizz too. Meeh, ahh well. Same with the wheels too, thats why I want another set to do in white..so I can be cool sometimes. Lol.
I'm hoping to do it the gloss primer grey/storm grey within the next couple of months. I won't be doing it until I'm over in the Isle of Man though as I'll have a workshop/barn to do it in, rather than a shitty garage/driveway here at my mums. But as said, I need to buy myself a compressor.. or see if my dads got a suitable one at his boatyard.

Picture update as I'm bored.
Been at Glastonbury over the past week, 1st chance I've had to take it on the motorway and do a long run. 500 mile round trip
Can't stand it at 70mph+ Lol. The engine sits at 4k+ and you can just watch the fuel needle drop.
Got back yesterday anyway, got bored today..Went to this stony lane/farmers track round the corner from my house.. I like to use it as a rally stage as such. No pedestrians, cars or animals.

The old front plate is on there for the time being, I got pulled by the police not that long ago for the small one, so had to stick the old one back on I've ordered a new set of plain, legal ones. Just awaiting delivery.

You can probably see the chalk stains everywhere.. I'm still yet to wash the car properly.. It got abused the night I drove to glastonbury.. I got some odd looks on the motorway as I had a 5ft vieny Cock drawn on the side with "Porridge Gun" written next to it. And all sorts of other Shit.

Bumper is sitting slightly out on the sides, as I had to fabricate some mounts for them, and they're a few mm to long. I'm still yet to shorten them.. I'll get round to it sometime soon though.

Lowering is next on the agenda to do,
then redo the Compomotives- But I'm still not sure on a colour. I've been looking at getting them blasted & powder coated, so I may get that done.
Also need to get round to doing the engine conversion.
Just need to get a 16v engine, But I'm lacking on funds atm. Got the Loom & ecu waiting here to go

Been meaning to update this for abit now.
Not much progress if I'm honest, although I may be collecting a much needed VTS engine next week

My mate got bored while at mine, so I told him to cut the grill from the bottom of my bumper..Widemouth it. Turned around and he had cut through the actual bumper..which ended up looking like this.
As I took everything out of the car.. I was left with window switches dangling about in the footwell. I've been doing nothing today and I had a sheet of carbon fibre left over from months back so set about making a mount for the switches.

Rough idea of the mount..

will be going there sort of.
I was quite pleased with my efforts with the Dremel. Although, alot more work is needed for it to be perfect.
Also, I came across this..
Anyone have an idea what it is.. Its got wires coming from it, but it just goes to a blank plug on the dash.
Edit: Hi doggy.
