Update
Hey guys just a quick update to show progress is being made...
Started off on saturday morning getting the gearbox and engine bolted together and all parts swapped from the jp4 engine to the j4 engine once everything was swapped over and torqued up to the correct torque settings etc i begin fitting the wiring loom to the engine managed to spend 90% of my day doing that due to being such a whore which left me with this on saturday night
Anyways sunday morning came and i was happy with everything so started fitting my engine alone might i add, ran into a few issues along the way like trapping my arm between chassis and engine but we wont go into that... but anyways got the engine in all bolted in place after shouting alot at my group n engine mounts for being stiff lols so this gave me this
And then today got it all sorted and started bolting things back onto the engine and filling it with some much needed fluids. im quiet far away from getting it running though as iv broke some stuff along the way and decided that standard parts just dont cut it anymore for me so now before i can progress really need to source:
An alternator as i broke mine or get mine repaired.
A raceland or other GOOD make 4 branch.
Some of the heater matrix hoses due to either been old and worn or cut up to suit jp4 thermostat housing.
Various clips.
Ideally a new radiator as mines battered.
Front timing belt cover aswell.
But other than the above everything is fine now

shes got some very good oil in there aswell so thats all good, im using mobil 1 0W-40 fully synthetic oil which should be plenty for my standardish j4 engine. im just missing some finishing touches to be able to fire the car over so hope it works tbh else im gunna be gutted but on the flipside at least its starting to look like a car again and is back on all 4 wheels.
Plenty more updates to follow
