A deep score mark on top of the block, from an oilway to the corner it's leaking?? A crack in one of the oil ways ? I can't think why it would be leaking, if the headgasket is fitted correctly, and all the headbolts are torqued up.
Maybe head of block face isn't flat?

quite shocking that garages can get away with things like that.
if you weren't so clued up on the car and engine then they would have got away with it - terrible really.
I'd mention you're an e-celeb and that with a single click on your mouse you can ruin the company's reputation.

As I said on Friday mate when I spoke to you, it's really disgusting how they have treat you and the car. I really think it's outrageous how they keep trying to fob you off too, all the best though mate sorting it.

Thanks for all the wishes and concerns ladies and gents.
Its getting me seriously stressed now, we've established that the head gasket is not the cause and now that they've replaced the one i supplied with a new one and the leak is still there they've admitted that its misdiagnosis and that i wot have to pay the £200sh for the replacement of that.
The damage weve agreed to talk about later and the prime concern is the engine itself, to some extent they admitted the damage although trying to wriggle out of it by saying the cars too low my point of "if it was a £200k supercar that you had in thats low you've have taken much more care" trumped their argument.
So far theres still no idea where the leak is coming from, to my knowledge and memory of what goes there in that given area there is:
- Seal on the front camshhaft (outlet) which is/was a brand new part and i cant see that being the cause
- Seals on the cam covers, cam ladders, both of which are new seals and no leak was evident before
- Head gasket which has been changed twice now, head has been skimmed twice and when i got the engine there was no evidence of a leak from this area.
QEP did all the work on the head and said it was in perfect condition and this place also found no noticeable fault when originally putting the engine together.
The only other bolt/s that i can think or is the little one which bolts the back cambelt cover onto the head, but this is only a small stubby thing which isnt long enough to have penetrated the inner head wall.
Other than that i cant think of or remember seeing any other parts which could be to blame.

What could be the cause of the excessive crank case pressure? and what would be the remedy?
There is no oil that has leaked or appeared from any other place (that ive seen so far or am aware of) other than where the oil seems to be appearing and dripping from.
Seems really strange

I will get them to check, but as far as im aware theres no oil getting into there. Engine starts (when battery is charged sufficiently) first time every time without any problem
what could the cause be if there is oil getting into the plugs?
Remember that the oil leak doesnt occur atall for the first minute or so of startup, after which time it builds up quickly to approx 1 drip per 1/2 seconds. Its not just a weap at that rate.

well my mate just had this problem,it was a build up of pressure + rocker cover gasket,it sounds exactly the same problem to be honest, bearing in mind after the 5th/6th time he attempted to start the car it lost compression before he got a chance to fix the actual problem!!
