Good news ! Spoke to ryanmt who unlocked my ecu and hes removed a pin so it carnt be locked
bad news i now dont know what the fault is now? Im starting to think that the alarm that the last guy fitted may be to blame as i uest to put key in and have to press the key fob to kut off the immobilizer and i would hear the fule pum prime. I do that now but it dosent prime? And ive checked the relay and fule pump wiring ?
Im shure ill figure it out lol but glad i havent locked my ecu tho !!

Didnt want to fully run it, just checked it fired up as i dont have a 16v manifold on it yet ( need one so if anyone is selling, im buying lol ) dont know if its fully true but i heard you can do some damage without a mani on but im not risking it !! Im well chuffed tho

Rite decided to pull my finger out as ive not posted in ages !!

Things ive been up to -

- engine done ( 16 v manifold arrived )
- Prepping bumpers and wings for paint

To be done

- Fit manifold and exhaust
- plum return fuel line in to tank
- Sand sand and sand some more then paint

Had a few small dints and 1 big dint and chips in my wings so ive started to sanding/filling them and my bumpers. mite be a while as there's alot of flattening to be done especially on the bumpers so it may take some time !!
Plan is to get car running so and put it outside so i can have the space back in the garage to do all the bodywork.

as usual a few pics !

i just used the single plug ecu and loom and made the loom fit my car

updates !
bumper shouldnt be to far off its all in primer at the moment but im doing my back bumper, wings, arches, skirts, spoiler all at the same time to save loads of paint mixing and cleaning my spray gun all the time !

I say it wont be too long but its neary a year since i started this project and my cars been out of my garage twice and never past my drive lol !!!!!!

Nothing that exciting to post so will put some piks up instead lol

One of the car after i drove it ( yes drove it ) out of the garage the other day and i can say that im well happy with how its running ! engine sounds perfect, idles fine and no dash lights ! gears abit sloppy tho, didnt have a gear knob on but will get all that fixed

Im not going to post all my bumpers ect in primer cos its dead boring !
but ill show you some more of getting the gti bumper fitting rite

Gti wing sticks out abit more than the vt so theres a gap witch ive fiber glassed and will need filling and sanding
( in between the pen marks )

Also ive been looking at wheel spacers as i want a wider stance but un sure of what size to get ???
wheels are 16 " and carnt remember what size the tyres are but there quite low profile. And its dropped 40 or 45 iirc
i dont want to go to far if it means its going to scrape as i will be mainly rallying around country roads

Anyway heres a pick of how it sits :-

what you think ?
