OP nice car - I'd definately want a flat bottomed steering wheel on that list of mods. I want one of these soon but with the dsg/s-tronic box.

Cos I'm a douche and it was DSG. Had 170mph on the autobahn. Still pulling as well.
These really are good all rounders.
OP - make sure the cam follower has been changed and also that the haldex service has been completed!

Thanks for the comments gents, it really is an amazing car.
Got it back this afternoon, and my god it put a smile back on my face on the drive home.
Bushy, why the hell did you get rid of that beauty?!
Why does the cam follower need changing? And what the hell is a haldex service?

I got rid because I'm a complete douche! I'll have another one day. Preferably sprint blue.
Haldex service is the Quattro system. Effectively a filter and fluid change. Should be done every 40k. Google S3 cam follower - they wear which in turn cam wear the lobes on the cam. Mine was pretty worn through at 35k miles.
It affects all the 2.0tfsi lumps! If you need any advice or anything just shout.
I timed mine to roughly do 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. Bare in mind that was with launch control and it's DSG!! Used to eat M3's for breakfast.
Id say in anything other than perfect conditions it's the quickest point to point car for reasonable monies!

Oo, I'll give Epsom Audi a call tomorrow and see what the previous owner had done. Thanks for the heads up.
Agreed, I had a play with an R8 on the way to Ross's house the other day, it wasn't pulling away from me. Despite the massive BHP difference, it wasn't going anywhere!

How many miles does yours have?
Struggling to find a DSG with decent miles, right seats, nav and the flat bottomed wheel for less than 15k...

97k.
I can't find any with all I wanted on, so I settled with the seats over the Sat Nav, wasn't concerned with the steering wheel. Payday will bring in a Double Din aftermarket headunit, think of it that way

These engines are good for stage 2+ all day long. Easy 200k on them no worries. Just make sir sit has good history!
The only thing to note as these are direct injection the valves 'coke' up! Google that as well!!!

Oh I know of the Coke problem, Ross was telling me about it on his RS4, but then again I haven't got the £££'a to sort that problem anytime before the end of summer. I'll come across that bridge when it comes to it, thanks for the advice though

If you were sticking to an R8 you probably aren't coked up, or he wasn't giving it the beans.
Get it rolling roaded and then you'll know for sure!

I hope you don't think it was making an effort?

Nice choice Dom
Got same engine in my TT!
Mine is DSG and now I'm stage 2 it flies.
I enjoy just having a relaxed drive more than often now or days, when it actually comes put the garage. But it's great to know the power is there!
Like Bushy said earlier get cam follower checked, they're normally not a problem up it from the price of the things get them regularly changed!
Seats are the only thing I couldn't find spec wise on mine, but I've got over that for now I hope.
Good luck with this one!

Don't worry about indicators, you drive an Audi, you won't use them..

Did a bit more polishing on this last night - there was an area on the drivers lower door half that was quite matt and it came up AMAZINGLY well. Like a fucking mirror! We're attacking this like my RS4 - a couple of panels at a time but it's responding really well. really starting to look lovely

Updates..
As Ross just explained all pretty much, we've been attacking this car panel by panel. The paint was absolutely awful, it had been through more polish people than hitler did, fact.
Luckily enough, 3 evenings work, takeaways and gay movie nights has brought the paint up quite well. Here she is as it stands tonight;
... And as I arrived home, a bird torpedo'd my bonnet. Again.
Anyway, I don't get much time to post due to work, will post pics over the next couple of days.

If I'm honest, exterior mods are the last things on my list at the moment. Ross and myself will be tinkering with the interior audio next week at some point, along with cleaning up the exterior.
After money becomes freely available, and time too, I'm hoping to find a Miltek Exhaust to make rather loud noises
