One of the nicest guys on here, one of the best drivers, but GOD how unlucky can one man be?
Oh - car is sweet now, I think I used up all *MY* luck when I got there getting it all going! What a nightmare
At least the ECU and the mapping side didn't play up.
Cracking car, awesome handling, and it really SINGS on those bodies! ...and pulls right down in 5th gear to town pootling speed.
Just brilliant

cheers andy . its been quite an emotional time as ive explained about my luck lately. its been very stressful. there have been other issues (broken fuel cap key, vtr head gasket going + the whole deadline thing geting the car done).
not 100% sure the £2k its cost me for an est 165bhp but giving it a proper drive at cadwell next week wil help me decide. i need to let some steam off
looking forward to some hot laps.

just been for a drive. no camera.
it drives well even from stone cold. is a teeny bit weak when it starts but no more than 10-15 seconds gently throttle soon warmed it up to idle at about 700. 1,000 when warm.
drives well, pulls well, cant get it to splutter or missbehave hell it even pulls 25mph smooth in 5th
when on power from 6,000 and above pulls hard all the way. you do have to consentrate more with the extra power. its not like bolting on a manifold and saying "yeah i think its quicker". this is now quicker for sure.
no pictures yet. i need to tidy the fuel lines, remove the carbon canister and lines, fit a new wing (when i find one) and generally clean the engine bay.
cadwell sunday 13th.

Cant wait to hear this, it already sounded like it was running bodies with that exhaust, did you have a power run before and after the throttle body conversion?

114bhp on the rollers. maped on the road so unsure. was quite an eventful drive in the rain and flooded roads last night.

best think for handling is the seats and proper 6pt belts! cant drive quick if you are trying too busy trying to stay in your seat
i wouldnt say the diff was that much of a big deal. might be more use now i have some more power.
ive done fcs a few times. to be honest i dont like it. show isnt very interesting. track time sucks. its ok for 1st timers but i had a few issues with some members driving the last time i went, oh and the time before that too
i stick to my trackdays rather than show and 20 minute session. no offence if thats your thing

vix drove it today, wasnt impressed. her quote was "thought it was going to be quicker"
she did approx 220 motorway miles for £25
so with bigger injesctors, cams and bodies, plus it no longer runs a lambda or a map sensor, thats not bad going.
