I think fifa 12 was by far the best fifa so far, you just need to know how to defend.
I had a quick check on the network and couldn't see it available on PSN has anyone with a playstation got it yet?

tbh, played the demo..... meh.
After a couple of games it's just like any other FIFA with better graphics and a newer style gameplay. I know that's the point. But it never seems completely different to other genres to me.

Other genres are solely based on stuff thats easy to change though, add new maps, guns, cars, tracks, etc
you can't really do that with a football game so theyre limited, they don't really need to change much as it's already by far the best football game so little improvements are more than welcome along with bug fixes! Just my two pence anyway

I think this "Match Day" form is going to be awesome!
If players are on form in the real game then their attributes are boosted in the game. Means an on form Stoke could actually beat an off form Man City!

So someone who is not as good as you at the game can beat you?
I've beaten many top teams with Stoke btw

No but if you have two evenly skilled players with one playing as Utd and another as Stoke, the guy playing as Stoke is always going to be facing an uphill battle with things like chasing players down the flank.
With this system it allows the stats to change slightly making it a more even game (To a degree)

I also love the new first touch system. Finally, the stupid magnetic field that players seemed to have is gone. Pass a ball to hard and the player may miss control the ball!

Time will tell if the defenders will still make stupid shimmies and moves out of position so a better attacker will get a decent path/attempt on goal. Got fed up of that happening in 12, particularly online.

They were also going to do a thing where like if for instance ben arfa has a great weekend his stats get boosted throughout that weekend from what I understand. Sounds awesome anyway.

The worst is where your defender controls it down and they just run onto the ball, take it and are clean through lol

I played the demo, but still think they havn't sorted some major floors..
Like late tackles not getting counted as fouls, and when someone sticks a foot in and the ball goes back to the keeper, clearly a back pass, then the keeper just picks the ball up..
Same with when you put a tackle in, both go to the ground, and they get up quicker and get the ball again anyway..
Also player speeds need sorting.. Its stupid when someone who is a giant, and slow as fuck in real life, can out run someone rapid fast in real life..

Anyone else like the fact that if someone is fouled whilst you are in posession and the game stops, the player kicks it back to the keeper.
Though that was pretty cool oh and fast throw ins.

I like that when you want a quick freekick, the players kick the ball back quickly so you can!

Yeh i noticed that, good feature! Saying that, its very rare i use the quick free kick if i get one in 12, unless my player is wide open where i can make a good run at goal

It's a football game. Unless the rules of football change they can't do much more.

Legacy defending? Over tactical? That's like playing half the game!

Backpass rules seem pretty generous in real life too though..

Think the passing back to the keeper thing sometimes happened in FIFA 12.. Although it doesn't seem to try and do fast throws much (so it avoids the problem of them being unable for some reason to pick the ball up in 12..)
- Arena skill games are awesome, first touch control is good, tackilng feels better and the real life form thing is cool..

Just downloading it now, never see the hype in FIFA tbh, used to buy them all years ago, now I just get the old one when the new one is out for £5 so when I get bored after a few hours its ok to not play it again lol
