That's a shame, you'd have two awesome motors knocking about, that said the Mk2 doesn't need any help they are just awesome.

Good work on the grille, what did you use? Is it a permanent fix like the dyes or a gel like megs endurance?

IF the saxo sells you mean.
I'd like something to use daily that is quite quick and fun. Possibly a full fat 172, but id make it mint with recaro pole positions.
or a 200sx to go sideways in and not care about the looks of it.

Believe it or not, progress has been made!

The engine has had the head rebuilt, and the bay has been sprayed.
Ive redone the engine loom and ran the wires low down in the bay as they usualy are high up.
We have a new manifold and pipe
Engine, clutch and box are back in.
Weve wired it up and it turns over so thats a big worry gone.
Battery is in the boot
Fuel tank is back in

Its gone from this state;

To this;

The inlet and manifold are just resting in place as i still need to paint more bits black.

After they are back on the todo list isnt that big;

Fit and secure battery cable and fuel lines
Fire up and tune engine (fit electronic ign)
Fit propshaft
Fit tyres to wheels
Re fit all lights etc and make sure they work
Refit grille and bonnet
Then a much needed wash and it near enough done.

The suspension will need dropping at some point to replace the top mounts but thats nothing major.

Hope you like, id like to have dropped a zetec in but its a cost that cant be justified yet. However it may happen in the future, for now its just been to restore the car and sort that stance.
