spraying metal inlets
they will get hot a bit
but should i use normal primer then just heatproof spray ontop?
or what? cheers

id just use some hammerite smooth no need for primer and its heat resistant

isnt hammerite smooth paint version?
i dont fancy using a brush as its a noticeable object
if i used a spray would i need primer or would it just go straight on?

you can get hammerite smooth in cans me and my house mate always use it, i sprayed the red dish on my wheels with it and my house mate refurbs wheels with it

for an inlet mani, normal primer and spray should be fine, long as you got a good coat of lacquer or two...

it wont get hot enough to damage the paint. I painted several rallye inlets with gloss black halfords rattle cans without issue
