i believe that it would only have a precat lambda sensor as the vehicle is to old to have pre/post lambda

if the vehicle has no cat on it then it wud fail mot because there must be a working cat on the vehicle.

i have a single plug 16v and it should have 1 lambda. does the car run ok with the hole plugged? i'm not using a lambda and mine runs fine. all cars made after august 1992 must have a cat iirc. find yourself a friendly tester

But you will never pass a emissions test without a cat.. So technically their already illegal.

having a cat is not a legal requirement at the moment, both my cars the clio and the sax both have went through mot without a cat the last four years, but as stated before that will be coming to an end!

Having a valid MOT is a legal requirement.. If your car doesn't have a cat on.. it won't pass a emissions test.. So void's MOT, so illegal.

I'm not fussed.. I've got a de-cat.. Just gotta put the cat on for MOT times, or slip the MOT tester a 10er..

It isnt true what you are saying about not having a cat that it WILL fail an MOT, alot of decat'd cars will pass an emmisions test!
