There was a option to have it run into next year but as there could be a increase in VAT it would be benfical to complete this group-buy this year hence 17-18th December completion date.

Just for info....
The company who will be building my engine would charge around £20 per cylinder for reboring to fit oversized pistons (assuming you supply a stripped down engine block and rebuild yourself). Honing should be less as all that does is remove the glaze from the bores rather than remove any metal to make the bore a bigger diameter. It has been recommended to me previously to always hone the bores when fitting a new piston/ring.

As andy says, always hone the bores to bed the rings in. Usually £5 a bore maximum! Also load the piston rings early in there life to run them in. Dont leave it ticking over for hours.!

fuck me 2 days off the net and ive missed 3 pages lol, rightyho, with regards to the date we said 18th as thats the day i get paid, as far as i know its a friday, and said this as the 18th wil be for most the date of christmas (decmber) pay for those on monthly pay, it also gave around 6 weeks frm the thread star to find the moey for the pistons, i WILL NOT HAVE MONEY before this date to order so this day or the day after as a an order (paying) date (or a few days after) other wise count me out, not an issue if ppl need to pay before then and move the buy forward a bit so long as its understood i wont be in title now ammended*

ibeleive something like this was mentioned but i beleive no one as yet is interested in this as money is the issue, as raunchz said the rods are another buy for another day, im in the proccess of finding us some rods from a reliable company willing to set up a group sale with us ut its proving quite tricky atm tbh, but this wont be for a while as i simply couldnt afford it atm and im sure most cant, after christmas when we all have more money..... think most are only diving in for the pistons atm as theyre getting a good deal and arent fitting for a while anyway, well worth it for the price if you can stretch, express your interest at the rod/piston package and see if others are game... im sure it could be added no probs

Ok no problem mate, well count me in for 79mm high comps. Maybe there'll be a few others interested in rods after a bit. When's the money need to be handed over?

Think were leaving the f/pistons & rods alone as there has been hardly any intrest, as Blackie has said finance have already been stretched and alot cant quite afford rods as well, may look at a rod group-buy next year some time

Will see what he says.
Is a good shout about buying anything 'big'/expensive to buy it on your credit card as it gives you more protection - it's what I'm going to do.

Completely agree with you Raunchz, I look forward to the reply from GazVTRsaxo, the saving being offered is too good turn down.
