Hi guys, Pretty new to this forum, gotta 2000 mk2 Saxo VTR and planning to mod it over summer, just serviced it with the following
Air filter,
Fuel filter,
Castrol RS Racing Fully synthetic
Splitfire Triple Platinum Plugs
Blasted out with 10k boost
Summer MODs
Lowered 40 mm Spax VSX Fixed Rate Kit.
Milltek Viper Cat Bk.
Decat Pipe.
GMC 4-1 Manifold.
Green Cotton Forced Air Induction kit (enclosed).]
Chipped, either Remap current ECU or go for a BB starchip, or superchip (any ideas which is best?)
Kent Fast Road Cam.
Anyone any ideas what power this will be pushin out????

Either dastek or remap standard ECU. Are setup to work with ods installed.. So do it after you have fitted all other mods.

as for power? maybe 130bhp, if your lucky. the best and cheapest way of doing it is to get a VTS engine in there, then you can mod that one. A VTS engine may cost about £800-£1000 fitted but dont forget you can sell your old engine for maybe £300-£400. So it wont be to much of outlay. considering your engine list which you made could be more than £1600

you'd be very lucky to see a 30bhp gain from those mods i reckon. i do agree that you should just transplant a vts lump and sell your vtr engine. then you've got 120bhp to build on,rather than 98bhp.

I think I have roughly 135bhp thats with ported head and I have a similar spec to that list. dont forget that it is a 35% power hike and its only a small engined car. So did I read that right? you have changed engine from 90bhper to a 98bhper?

no the 2000 sax's were being made when citroen were changing things, the engine has 98 bhp but still has the cat under the car an not in the manifold.

its weird my saxo in 2000 they brought out the MK2 new front end yeh and 98 bhp engine
which mine has got... but for sum reason theyve put the old exhaust system on it which kind gives it the edge over other mk2's because theres CAT's Are restrciting the flow right at the manifold, get what i mean? where as my CAT is underneath
Very Odd I know LOL
Any chance u cud tell me the cost for a ported head? , and after all the mods u made to ur vtr is it completely different? Fast?

i thought if the cat was under the car it had 90bhp even if its a Mk2! the cat after the manifold model is the 98bhp models! the 98bhp has never been proven though...
ive a V reg Mk2 cat under the car. (until i got rid of it)
