Default Bloody Router And Laptops And Other Thing....GARGH

Just spent the last 4 hours reinstalling windows to find out my internet connection was actually the routers fault, so now I'm using my neighbours because I needed my saxp fix...jeeez I'm annoyed that my router has broke.

Haha so do I, chances are I will buy the exact same one again, they are good routers. Mine has just had some stick over the years lol.
Power is fine
Hard reset and flash are still on the egenda for tommorow. Then a trip to PC World on payday, neighbours wireless will do for time being haha

Edit: Yeah full power, and I can still access control panel, It says it has an 8mbp downstream. Yet dial up is faster

If ya think about it routers take a beating if I was awake for two years i think id give up too lol. My neighbours are more then happy for me to use theres, after about a few months of using there faster broadband I thought it was best to tell them and they were weirdly cool about it, he just said 'I hardly use the bloody thing too much boob for my liking'. Not quite sure if he was calling it shit or he was relating to the amount of porn on the net ill never find out I hope

First problem I had is gaming through it (COD4 </3), suddenly it died so after numerous amounts of swearing I blamed BT and they upgraded my broadband for free, nice of them haha. Didn't solve it but I wasn't too bothered, so I just used it for internet and that has now died...typical haha.

so you can still access the routers control panel?

can't hurt to flash it, or even see if you can borrow a router?

For cabled environments i've always used netgear switches and for wireless solutions its always been cisco/linkys for wireless and AP's. Tie the two together and i've never had any problems

can't honestly go wrong with cisco for anything tbh!

i've got an asus switch (aquired as my old router had only one ethernet port and my hub was, in a word, shit) and a netgear router. the switch is pretty much redundant, just helps to weedle out who's using all the bandwidth!

i'm reasonably alright, wireless used to be awful, but recently advances in operating systems and simpler ways of setting the damn things up have helped!

I've got the same router as you, think theres something wrong with it aswell as its coming up as 8mbps and is slow as fuck, takes ages to load pages and sometimes even says I'm not connected. Tried everything aswell.
