Default Raceland enclosed or BMC CDA?

Going to buy an induction kit soon?

What do you think is best BMC or Raceland?

BMC obviously costs a bit more than Raceland, but the overall build quality / components are better and looks better under any bonnet, plus BMC is easier to fit, Raceland kits are a pig to fit in Saxo's...... Raceland kits are louder than BMC's though!!

I've got a BMC and would recommend a BMC to anyone seeing as I'm happy with it, and even more so once I get the silicone hosing on!

All comes down to your budget mate!

has anyone done a back to back test on enclosed induction kits compared to the standard induction kit? More and more tuners are sticking with the standard induction as its not actually that bad. (and a lot quieter)

The problem with the standard induction is that there is a very nasty bottle neck on lower range models (about level with where the piping passes the rocker cover)

The diameter of this is only about the same as a £2 coin (if not smaller) which appears to be very restrictive given that the piping on the raceland and BMC are much thicker and a more similar size to the throttle body.

That said depending on where you're mounting these induction kits if its up against the slam panel which only has a small gap in it anyway you'll never get the full potential airflow through it

EDIT:

As said before on this topic the BMC offers much better build quality and looks 10x better, but the raceland is a reasonable cheap alternative.

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the increase in engine tone part of the attraction of induction kits?
