Cheers sexy, I have no idea what I'm doing!
This is the first car I've ever actually done anything to!

I know its off your list but I ordered 4 of these on Weds and they have just arrived.
Ill be using two at the front for brake ducts and two at the back for feeding some air into the engine bay.
They are about 12" when compressed and 36" at full stretch. Can be bent and they stay rigid.
Il let you know how I get on with them!

Well my nightmare continues, possibly due to a lack of tools, and talent, or possibly both.
I got these
I did this
2 went all the way in, 2 ended up about here
I had a cunning plan
I did this
I cried a bit, and rang my mate to lend me his big boys vice, I plan on pressing the rest in using the socket for the prortuding bit to slide into

Should have broke out the lube.
They must be a pretty tight fit. My Powerflex ones went in with a few taps of a hammer.

there is literally no give in them, harder than nylon they be
they make a sort of "tink" noise when you tap them against eachother
Gibbo, it's only a matter of time before I take the beam to the "bigger boys" and they do it in like 30 seconds with their tool of win

That bolt looks like B&Q quality....which is why it snapped! A nice 12.9 Cap Screw would have probably worked!

Okay, so on friday I had borrowed a big vice, and a bar to help me get the last 2 bushes in.
How could I fail!
well, in an epic way really, nothing happened.
so I got annoyed, held the beam in the vice, and smashed them in with a hammer!
WIN!

Well I've just been to collect the following from Citroen:
4 crossmember bolts
4 matching nuts
1 small washer
2 large washers
£41!
Damn you Citroen!
However the existing ones have been on for a decade and I have moved to group A bushes so I thought it was a good plan!

well, we managed to get the rear beam back on, which was nice!
Woo!
Baker BM bushes, woo!
Whapped some new rear discs on, wheels on and out of the garage eventually!, woo!
Got almost all of the rear brake pipes and lines sorted, but I'm missing one of the clips that joins the flexi to the hard pipe, so I couldn't fill and bleed the brakes, 4 motor factors ater and no joy!
FML!
