travelodge pillars, beware!
i was a bell and rolled up a ramp , 1,too late and 2, in third and 3, steered insufficiently...
dick of the week award for doing this to my beloved.
its about 1mm deep, sheering away at my paint and plastic. now, is this worth saving or is it cheaper to go find a new one AND NOT CRASH IT?
cyber abuse is deserved and welcome

I guess you could save it as a track bumper if the car has any track work - obviously the front bumper and the bonnet will get hammered if you use it on track. Apart from that, I'd just keep it as a spare in case it happens again, or if you don't have the space, bin it - it's not worth trying to repair for sure.
Have a look on here and eBay matey and take another bite at the cherry in car parks if needs be next time!

thanks for the tip, but are the bumpers just subject to stones from other cars or is there another element to the bumpers going crappy?

The bumpers are plastic & i`m pretty sure that when you paint plastic its more likely to suffer from stone chips/cracks etc(maybe wrong)as plastic flexes more than metal.

Clearly in too much of a rush to get inside the hotel. Seeing your friend Sebastian was it...
As for the bumper, sling it and replace it when your feeling flush.

Repair it, simple and easy. Flatten it down primer it and paint it. its hardly deep you probably wouldn't even need filler.

Well if you have none of the gear its out the question. Unless you can get a good finish with spray cans?

No worries! The bumpers obviously get a fair old beating if you're a regular tracker from when people have been off and brought the kitty litter back on etc. - that'll just happen tbh. My front bumper has picked up a few stone chips over the years - she does get driven fairly hard but I'm intending to do some track work towards the end of the year so there's simply no point.
Track cars do pick up a fair bit of tar from the track surface itself but that's nothing a bit of IronX and detailing clay can't sort
We use smart repairers at work and they've got the textured paint that goes over the scuff but how durable it is, I don't know. Just go for a new bumper IMO
