so i got one thing wrong.. but the majortity of the stuff you get with premium i never used!!! I would much rather just pay a fiver a year or something to pay towards the running costs as i can imagine the cost of running a site this big..
I see where Danny is coming from, people like me dont want guides or anything like that but still enjoy the site.

an option could be given for improved forum priveleges... maybe larger inbox, pager use, possibly image atatchment? Not access to premium forums or content though.
Not convinced... but see what people think in this thread.

£5 for bigger inbox, pager and premium forums would be fair crack.
that would minus how to guides, saxo content, discounts etc.

All I’d say is, how much did you spend last time you went on the town, pissed most of it up against a wall and woke up with a banging headache. Then ask yourself the question “is £15 for a whole year expensive when supporting a community forum such as saxp”

i think thats very reasonable when you consider saxp hardly ever goes offline (once a year if that) when compared to other 'rival' sites
i personally feel your being abit tight but i think maybe an option in the shop to increase your inbox size for say 5 quid a year would suit you?

Yeah, that sounds exactly what I was aiming for.
Something for us forum goers, that don't need saxo content anymore, but see a small donation as fair.

So have two lesser options
1.
Larger inbox, and pager £5
2.
How To Guides, saxo content and discounts. £5
premium forum should be left for premium members as thats what it is, if you want to go there that abd you pay, £15 wasn't much forget about it after a while, i hardly ever use premium chat or anytnhing but i pay it to keep the site running

tbh i can see where people are coming from and i think maybe a cheaper alternative could be looked into but i dont think the cheaper options should include access to the premium members area.
i think the pricing is about right for all the options as i was a member on SSC and i paid the membership and only received one newsletter and my card, also the forum was pants and i found myself moving from SSC to Sax-p within a month and i was getting the answers i needed on here for nothing.
I will be paying my premium membership tomorrow.

SSC is £20
Saxp is cheaper, more frequented, and has me on it - £15 is good value comparatively.

Its quite ironic that the people asking for the cheaper option mainly want it to hammer the forum tools... pager, inbox, etc.
The pager is the MOST resource sapping tool on the server and therefore in theory should be slapped with the biggest price tag.
Still interested to see how this thread develops...

SSC was a complete waste of money and as i said not only is this site cheaper to become a premium member it also has a lot more useful information on it and there is always someone on here to help you out when you need it.
look forward to becoming a premium member tomorrow.
