Xbox live, Wireless Adapter or Cable?
Getting a 360 soon and going to have it on live. Still deciding whether to have the Wireless adapter or have a cable straight to my router.
Some people have said its shit wireless??

I don't like wireless much... Wired FTW.

Where will the router and console be located? I went wireless. My router is downstairs and my 360 upstairs in my room. Its pretty much on the edge of the wireless' range so of course gets disconnected every now and then.

Room next door.
Its no issue to move the router to my bedroom, Just run a phone line extender under the carpets. Can rip them up due to being old and decorating soon so its ok.

Went for wireless just because i didn't want wires trailing from 1 room to the other. Seems ok and i haven't had any dropped connection problems. Personal choice i suppose but the adaptors could be bloody cheaper.Grrr

ive done wired and wireless and i have no problems with wireless never red dotting..
also if you look on xbox's website there is a list of normal computer wireless sticks you can use instead of paying the 60 odd quid for the official one.

Wired is better, more reliable, doesnt cost half as much,
but id like to point out ive never had disconnects / lags because of being wireless on the sexbox.

I run wireless due distance from my nearest switch in the house and don't have any problems (saying that there only 1 or 2 dead spots in the house where my access points can't reach...), however I prefer the wired by miles as it makes using the media center front end much smoother...

I run wireless, used to have cabled. Noticed no difference what so ever.
I got my wirelesscard for free too
Call Microsoft and tell them yours has broken, When they ask you to take it back to store say you got it from a local inderpendant gaming store and its recently shut down. They will send you out a free wireless dongle. A few of us did it on here a few months back.
