i dont know much, but that alpine amp/sub's only 350watts max power, and doesnt give a rms figure, so im guessing its not going to be amazing.

alpine are generally good stuff.
if youve got that kind of money to spend on equiptment the last think you want is a package deal
how much bank do you have for a full set up mate? (thats, comps, 2 amps and a sub + wires, box etc)
and what do you want? pure bass? or sound quality?

What you lookin for in a head unit, function wise? £350 a lot of money to spend, for £270 you can get this:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpi...7r-p-5959.html
I'm running one and they're about as good as it gets for SQ without silly money.
That hertz package is a good deal IMO, speakers are the wrong size but I'm sure they'll do you a swap.
Put some money aside for sound deadening and wiring too.
If you're spending this amount make sure you've got good security.

if your going to spend over £130 on a package.. then buy seperates
if you havnt got a good amp and comps up front, then sort that out first.. its a MUST in a quality sound system

All of those I've recommneded are good, if you want cheaper the JBL stuff is really popular and good value for money.
It all depends on how much you want to spend? whats your total buget for ICE?

also. both sets of comps (being the lower end of their respective brand) have less quality crossovers leading to a harsher hi-end
whilst being an OK set up, id rather save some cash and opt for this alternative:
comps:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/dyna...52-p-5522.html
amp:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpi...9mniasetr3kbq1
these comps thrive off over 100wrms. (which the amp delivers to them) and they produce a very powerful midbass withough giving a harsh sound on the hi-end. the balance of freqs is up there with the +£100 pairs of comps

You dont need to put 100W into speaker for it to sound good.
I ran that audison amp for quite a while, 80W is its maximum output i.e full volume. Nobody runs their amps at full power while driving around you'd be deaf!
Both the amps i've listed are good quality and supply enough power for the speakers mentioned.
Those SPL speakers are ok but you're not going to be putting 100W into them while driving around for the reasons I've just stated, so saying they'll thrive of 100W is pointless.
