would like the fibreglass doors/windows and boot but i like some security. i may do the boot tho
|
may be expesive but surely a set of locking aerocatches will see you right on each fibreglass part? And also did you get my message about the idea for track days? Just a little thought I had and just thought I'd say something just incase you hadn't thought of it
it's defo looking like a racer now mate what weight you after? About 700kg without driver? Bet with fibreglass doors boot bonnet polycarb windows, full stripage and removal of heater matrix and sun roof your looking at about 650?

Id secure the boot with a proper catch, but perspex wondows can be popped out easily. and I wouldnt fancy areocatching the door locks lol
the car needs to remain fairly secure so I can leave it at hotel carparks when I go to trackdays overnight.
as to the silencer, its not the exhaust thats the problem, its the induction thats very loud. i will find out just how loud come 28/3/11 when i go to bedford.
i need to keep the matrix and dashboard as i want to be able to de-mist the windows come winter trackdays.
thanks for your opinions tho

Fair play mate! Is that what you do then, stay in a cheap hotel over night? thats a decent idea tbh! Then your round the corner from the track and dont have to leave really early to drive down there and be there for the sign on!
what happens on the sign on anyway? Loads of forms to fill out?

spent the day working on the car today. raised rear height 10mm. hope for a touch less understeer. also been fiddling with the brakes, bleeding them with fresh dot5 tidying up a few niggles.
next trackday at the end of the month bedford gt.

Unlucky on the crash mate that's was a pretty good run as well. Be back with a vengance on the other side it's good to hear it's all fixed. Those haybail look alikes must be as soft as a bouncy castle to only come away with a fucked Wong and a broken bumper. A saxo could crash into a chiwawa and the dog would come off better
