Just wondering.

Do people who put a VTS engine in a VTR declare it with their insurance? I'm sure that increases the premium by quite a bit.

depends on age, driving history etc
i was 19 with everything declared on a quicky with a 16v conversion with i mean litterally everything decalred even down to the headunit etc and i was paying around 900 ish if i remember correctly? that was with 2 years ncb, but then i crashed and lost my ncb and i shafted my self tbh

Sorry for posting in someone else's thread, is the 2001vtr a 3 plug as well?

I'm thinking of doing the same swap.

no, but yes. Its a tall engine so amongst all the other issues you will need to address to make it fit, bonnet/sump clearance may be a problem.

Swap to a single plug. bit of a pain but better in the long run if you decide to run more power
