Sooooooo managed to get the car raced before the 4 year rebuild mark
Local hillclimb race on 17th&18th of october . raced in the formula salloon N/A category and managed to finish 3rd out of 3 "LOL" with 1st being the fastest car of the day , a mk2 escort kitcar with a rev happy bmw engine in it and 2nd a really fast rx8
Car was finally test driven exactly one week before the race and taken to the local track for practise two days prior to the race .... thank god i did that because one of the ball joints decided to sheer clean off the wishbone...managed to repair the car and have it ready by friday night
greyjasper51 came over for spannering and setup support , checked the engine was running fine , helped setup the suspension and alligment and off we went !!!!
after finishing the last race session on sunday and driving down the hill !!!! Happy doesnt really describe the feeling !!!!

rear locked up whilst downshifting from 4th to 3rd ... got it well sideways coming in the fast right !!!!
Things that need doing :
1. gearbox needs loads of work as itscrunching 3rd on the fast upshifts
2. on the search for shorter gearing for 4th and 5th , as 4th will happily go all the way up to 195 km/h or about 115mph
3. i need loads and loads of practise
