bad lights standard?

i recently got my first saxo

its impossible to get past how sh*te the headlights are, could it be anything to do with them being painted black around the edges? or are they just bad standard? i can't drive quick at night cause it so bad, is there a cheapish fix? decent bulbs or something...

They are pretty shite mate. Go for 6k HID's, looks much better and visibily is improved A LOT.

why 6 when you can get 12k or atleast 8K

12k your asking to be pulled by feds. 6k or 8k is mostly common as there a decent amount of lights and nicer colour. the higher you go the deeper the tint of purple and blue. 12k is more purple then blue so will be pulled over regularly.

becuase blue/purple lights look gay and chavvy. its all about the bright white.

can get 6k hids for as little as £50

I'm pretty sure it's been proven that HID's seem brighter but actually have a worse spread of light and are overall worse. Have a look on this thread:

Maybe they're just setup wrong and need adjusting.

If your struggling for visibility yellow lights will help. Sounds old school but your eyes respond to yellow the best. Blue is the worst. Would be very different as well lol
