How to get a real low VTR?
Would I be having to look into coilovers to get a 60mm or more drop?
As I can't find any decent spring/shocks anywhere
Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Collies or get custom springs made, don't know of any that go below 60.

I wouldn't ever bother with lowering springs. Pay more and get a decent set of coilovers.

you do realise that you drastically reduce the travel of the suspension, unless ure going with some real hard springs it will bottom out all over the place

Nothing wrong with a good spring/shock setup though surely?
Only thing is I'd have to wait a bit longer for the coilies as I don't want cheap shite ones.

Also, what's beneath the sideskirts? Do VTR's look stupid with the sideskirts taken off? As I imagine that would help giving more room for lowering?

What sort of shocks would you run with them? A lot stiffer ones I imagine? Any suggestions?

I owned a fiesta on lowering springs - was bouncing all over the place and bottoming out.
Golf is on KW coilovers with adjustable top mounts so I can adjust everything and set it up exactly how i want it.
After owning a car on coilies you won't go back to springs.
