Default Cleaning silicon crap off car

VT door panel kit has been badly repaired with why looks like silicon or something similar. Got a new panel en route but there's crap all over the car and there's only so much I can peel away. Any suggestions of what I can use to get rid? Ta.

Not sure on this one all the things I can think of are not to good for paint eg acetone, paint thinners, you could try panel wipe is alcohol based so might break it down

I've got some sticky stuff remover which works quite well with these sort of things.
It sort of dries the sticky stuff up so you can peel it off, It might work with the silicone... I dont know?

Silicone is a pain, I had this problem as the previous owner decided it was a quicker fix than replacing the sunroof..! I used every product in the garage, nothing worked so took a shot with nail varnish remover.. works a treat but you do have to scratch it off with something soft.. I had no nails left once finished... :\

Paint thinner. I always use it for removing silicone.
