You have to set the pressures correctly in relation to the weight load that is on that tyre. Hence why tyres have a load and speed rating. There is a table that explains the load rating to the respective weight load for that tyre.
E.g a tyre with a load rating of 82 = 475kg maximum weight on that tyre.
Saxo's and Peugeot's range between 850kgs to 950kgs in the overall kerb weight for the vehicle, dependant of engine and spec. So to add four tyres with a load rating of 82 onto a Saxo the total weight load that the tyres can support is 1900kgs, way above the weight of a whole car.
So with a stripped out car and dependant on the amount ofweight you remove, you don't have to run as high a tyre pressure as if the car was still in full trim.

Your doing it right pal
To run the standard tyre pressure in the rear tyres with a stripped out rear would bring oversteer when driving enthusiastically. With your pressures set accordingly, your getting the maximum tread contact patch gripping the road
