Love'em and looking into getting one when I've got a bit more saved, the GSi is too understated and i really do like the look of these... Torn between having another saphire black astra or go for a Arden blue. If your changing a few things the first thing i can say to do is get rid of the cross over pipe and get a 1.9CDTi box with redirected piping, do it to mine and my god does it make a difference..... the thing on there right now is soooooo restrictive. Looking very good though!

Thanks man, yeah the arden blue was my desired colour but they seemed to be more money than any other colour. Ive just been reading through your thread and i thought to myself.... Hmmmm cdti airbox with a panel filter. Yes please. Gonna get it remapped soon. But unsure of where to go at the minute. Was curious of what superchips would offer.... So searched the site and came back with these figures... 281hp and 286 torques. I thought for £450 that cant be true. Think it may be bullshit tbh. Anyway im loving urs dude. Love the spark plug cover

cheers mate, Loving the ownership of the Z20 engines. and that map can be true, and for that price it sounds about right for a custom map. I would say to change a few things like the airbox, redirected cross over pipe and the boost pipes, as the standard Top hat flex's an incredible amount... That too can sap alot of power! I would recommend the company all of my hoses are from RooseMotorsport, they are fantastic pieces of kit! not the cheapest but well worth it and do help in making to bay look a million times better from a cosmetic side too. Another thing i would personally say is go remus, adds alot and doesnt void any warrenty should you have some with the car?

Vectra VXR also very expensive to run and live with. 2.8T v6 makes a fantastic noise though

waaheeeey! twins!
I was reading your thread and started mine after i finished reading it haha
Plans at the minute.... Panel filter in a cdti airbox then a map soonish. Refurb the wheels as there not quite 100% unsure of a colour at the moment . Probs just standard colour tbh. Then thats it. Not really into modifiying cars anymore . Seems like a waste of money to me. Especially on a saxo anyway. Just my pov!

My God, what is it with vauxhall owners and "stages"? it's not a universal standard. dependant on the company. but i can take a guess....Regal

It's a standard between tuners. I'm not with Regal, am with DreamScience
If I rang Regal and said I want stage 3 tuning they would say the same mod list as what Courntey sport or any other main tuner would for stage 3 on an Astra
Same with Focus St's they have stages etc
It's easier to say your at stage 2 too someone who understands rather than explain what you have or ain't done.
It's just a quick abriviation that's all.

Couldnt agree more with you @ MJ05LLY as it takes too much effort to explain what stage your at by going through all of the mods you have done, as for mine right now im heading for stage 3 through courteney, Just got to get the FMIC and it will go in for map. Hoping for anything horse power wise from 280-310, Also got to be said, there is a massive difference between the GSi standard turbo and the VXR unit, defo one of the best things so far to have happened to mine

I only really see it in ford and vauxhall circles though. is it because the tuning companies are the only source of upgrade parts? do many go about sourcing there own parts and trying to cobble together a garage build?

Stage one - just a map
Stage two - turbo back exhaust and map
Stage three - FMIC added to turbo back exhaust and map
You can source your own parts but it's all about your map really and how you want your power delivery.
Things like air filters etc are not included as they don't really matter massively but help for things like throttle response
You have things like stage 4 with bigger turbo etc
